Waiver of Fees Information

The Board of Education of Hinsdale High School District 86 has adopted a policy to provide for a waiver of fees when written evidence is submitted showing that at least one of the following prerequisites is met:

1. The state of Illinois informs the school that a student’s family is eligible for the National School Lunch Program.
2. The student's family is currently eligible under the guidelines of family-size income levels prescribed annually by the Secretary of Agriculture.
3. The student's family shows verification of need other than that which is noted above. A copy of the formal Policy 4.140 is on file in the administrative offices. (Examples can include: two most recent pay stubs (wages, salary, commissions), earnings from Public Assistance/Welfare, Unemployment, Child Support, Alimony, Pensions, Annuities, Social Security, Worker's Compensation, SSI, recent Income Tax Statements, and/or any other type of earned income.)

After you have finalized residency and registration requirements, you may apply for the Hinsdale Township High School Educational Fee Waiver program. Upon qualification, families will order their books using an Educational Fee Waiver Voucher through MBS online bookstore and the books will be delivered to their home. Families will receive an email from MBS with a step by step process on how to order the books. More information can be found HERE , along with an application which includes the 2020-2021Fiscal Year Income Eligibility Guidelines.

Completed forms, along with income verification can be emailed to the Main Office:
Stefanie Hodermarsky - shoderma@hinsdale86.org
Julie Van Ness - jvanness@hinsdale86.org

If you have any questions regarding the Fee Waiver program, the Main Office can be reached at: 630-570-8214 or 630-570-8211.
Health Office Update

The health office is still processing student health forms. The goal is to have all forms entered in the database by Sunday, July 26th at 5:00 PM . This will allow time for parents and students to view schedules and make a schedule change request if necessary.

Please be patient with the health office as they finalize student data.
Schedule Change Requests

Any students who want to request a change to their schedule must do so by 8:00 AM on Monday, July 27 . Please note, however, that the number of changes we can accommodate will be limited due to capacity restrictions and the need to maintain the six-foot rule in accordance with social distancing guidelines. Any requests that are submitted will be processed in the order we receive them, and will be considered, in part, on the space that is available. If your student’s request is approved, you will be sent a confirmation and will be able to view the updated schedule in HAC.

Please use the appropriate link below to request a schedule change for your student. Please do not email your child’s counselor to inquire about a change. Counselors work limited hours during the summer, and may not be in the office or receive your request prior to the July 27 deadline. At this time, all meetings will be held virtually.

Senior Parking Permit Assignments 2020-2021 School Year

Parking applications have been processed and all seniors that have completed the process have been assigned a parking permit for 1st or 2nd semester. Due to construction and some changes that were made in the senior parking lot, we needed to move some seniors from 2nd semester to 1st semester. All students that were moved should have received an email notification regarding this. Students will not be charged for parking in PushCoin until the school year begins. All students that hold a driver's permit will need to present their driver's license when they pick up their parking permit in the fall.

Students that are highlighted in  yellow  still need to submit a copy of their driver's license and current insurance card.

Exclusion from Attendance

Proof of immunization and physical examination must be submitted to the health office at your school. Students who fail to do so before the first day of school will be excluded from school until the necessary information has been provided. Any absences that are the result of non-compliance with the immunization and examination requirements that are spelled out in the Illinois School Code are considered unexcused.
VIP Senior Photos and Underclassmen Yearbook Photos

Underclassmen and senior yearbook photos have been tentatively scheduled during September.

More information will be forthcoming. Please be patient as we work through new safety procedures related to COVID 19 and the start of the school year.
