Annual Wellness Visits are free for patients over 65 years old with Medicare A & B. During the appointment, John Bradley, RN, goes through all the preventative services covered through Medicare.

HCC Provides Food Stamps and
Medicaid Application Assistance
Shelly Harden, Community Health Worker, can help individuals with applications for food stamps, MO HealthNet (Medicaid), and other programs under the Family Support Division. She also assists individuals with appeals if they are rejected. To avoid cases from closing, individuals are encouraged to return their re-investigation forms.

Rural Reentry Ministry Hosted First Annual
Lafayette County Second Chance Prayer Walk
Rural Reentry Ministry hosted the First Annual Lafayette County Second Chance Prayer Walk, a community wide prayer event. The event was held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lion’s Pavilion at Dyer Park in Odessa, Mo.
Rural Reentry Ministry is a restorative justice ministry for former prison inmates who have committed their lives to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Rural Reentry helps them reinstate themselves as productive members of the church and society in rural communities.

Register for HRSA's Maternal Mortality Webinar
The next webinar in the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) public health webinar series is Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The purpose of this webinar is to understand federal projects, clinical research, and available resources to improve maternal mortality rates. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will review agency level projects and funding.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), along with the Illinois Department of Public Health, will discuss their work to create or improve Maternal Mortality Reviews. Sarosh Rana, MD, MPH, will discuss her experience as a high-risk pregnancy provider and preeclampsia researcher.
