Lynn & Paul D'Adamo
Paul & Lynn moved to Hampstead, NH from North Attleboro, MA in February 2020.
Paul and Lynn have been married since 1986 and have two children, Elise (and husband Aaron) in Bedford, NH and Alan in Nashville, TN. They are the proud grandparents of Lydia and Emily, children of Elise and Aaron.
Paul & Lynn were members of the Four Corners Community Chapel (Congregational Church) in Cumberland, RI for over 30 years, serving on several Boards and Committees including Stewardship, Missions, Deacons, Church Communications, and Church Council.
We look forward to participating in all aspects of Hampstead Congregational Church and the Hampstead community.

Janet Kliska
I'm originally from Methuen, MA. I have one sister Kathryn who lives in Pelham.
Don and I have been married for 52 years and have 3 sons, 4 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
I worked for our family business from the time I was 15 to when I retired at 62.
I have been a Methodist all my life and the last 35 years or so have regularly attended two UCC churches.
We have lived in Hampsted for 5+ years.
Don and I have enjoyed many years of traveling, including boating and RVing. We also both enjoy
golf and day trips around New England.

Judy Ross
Judy lives in Hampstead with her dog, Teddy. She has two sons, one daughter and three grandchildren.
Several years ago she attended Hampstead Congregational with her friend, Juanita, who most of you know.
She looks forward to Pastor Kathy's Sunday sermons, as they are relevant and uplifting in difficult times.
Members of the congregation are most welcoming and dedicated to supporting the church. Judy is happy to become a member of Hampstead Congregational.

Farewell to Jane Conradsen
Jane is moving on to the next stage of her life. Last Sunday was her final service at HCC. We appreciate all her ministry with and to us these past 20+ years. She will be greatly missed.
As of 4/1/23, her new address will be: 7 Fox Run Lane, #22, West Lebanon, NH 03784. Her phone number will remain the same.

Lenten Discussion Group
All are invited to join our Lenten discussion group. We are meeting on Thursday mornings in the Davis Room (upstairs from the sanctuary) at 10:00am. Even if you can only make it for one or two sessions, please stop by!
The booklet "Living Well Through Lent 2023" will guide our discussions on how to live compassionately. We still have a few copies left in the foyer.
No prior experience in groups is needed. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Pastor Kathy.

Scam Emails & Texts
Emails and Texts are often sent, saying they are from Pastor Kathy or another staff member. She (or the HCC staff) will never send out a generic email/text--she'll address it to your name. She will never ask you for money/gift cards over email nor via a text.
Also, any email from Pastor Kathy will always have her signature line on the bottom with her phone number/address.
If in doubt, please contact the church office or Pastor Kathy.

A Word from Peace and Justice
RIP Medical Debt released their 2022 Annual Report and the difference they are making in family's lives is amazing. In 2022 they received $42 million to relieve $1,771,663,816 in medical debt for 1,872,998 families. Music Corner by Herb Tardiff
George Frideric Handel:
Born in Halle, Germany, in 1685, George Frideric Handel was among the greatest composers of the Baroque era. Handel’s operas, organ concertos, oratorios, and anthems made him famous with his crowning achievement the “Messiah”.
Handel moved to Great Britain as a young man and eventually became a British citizen.
Here are some interesting facts:
1. George’s father did not approve of his music affinity and his mother snuck a harpsichord in the attic for him to practice.
2. He started playing at the age of 5 and composed his first work at the age of 9. He also studied the harpsichord, organ, violin and oboe.
3. Handel almost died from a duel with a fellow musician over a dispute about who was going to conduct a performance. A large button on Handel’s coat kept the sword from penetrating his body.
4. Although he lived to be 74 years old, Handel was plagued by health issues throughout his life. `At the age of 52, Handel suffered a stroke. Many considered his quick recovery a miracle because they didn’t expect him to perform again. He also suffered from cataracts and was blinded during a botched surgery to remove them in 1751 today.

The Sonshine Soup Kitchen needs volunteers to prepare and package the food for "To Go Meals." We partner with Atkinson Congregational Church once a month on the 4th Wednesday of the month to help out from 3-6pm. | | |
Blankets for Project Linus
For those of you who have been busy sewing, quilting, knitting, or crocheting, we have an new opportunity to donate those handmade items!
We located a national organization that has local chapters called Project Linus (https://www.facebook.com/projectlinussouthwestnewhampshire/). This organization's mission is "to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans". Blankets are given to children in need through NH.
*We welcome all styles of blankets made in child-friendly colors/prints.
*Crocheted, knitted, quilted (100% cotton or flannel), fleece….you don’t have to be an expert!
*Blankets must be NEW, HANDMADE and WASHABLE.
*Fabric blankets can be quilted by machine, hand or tied. If you are tying the blanket make sure the ends are trimmed to 1” and the knots are secure.
*Please do not add any embellishments to the blankets such as buttons that could be swallowed by a child.
*If you are using a no-sew fleece pattern, please be sure to trim off both selvages FIRST. Not sure what selvages are? Ask the clerk who is cutting your fleece to please show you, they’re those odd looking edges at the top and bottom of the piece you have, sort of raggy looking.
*We accept all sizes of blankets. We donate to children, infants through teen years, so any size is appropriate. Baby blankets are typically 36”X36” or 36”X42”, toddler-pre-teen are typically about 40”X60”, and teen blankets are at least 60"X72".
Blankets can be dropped off in the entry way of Hadley Hall.

Feel free to send in information up to three weeks in advance of an upcoming event. We want all of the congregation (not just the Team leaders) to be empowered to get the word out about all the activities that are happening at Hampstead Congregational Church!
