Getting Dirty with Plants
alk to a beautiful spot along Lake Elkhorn where the Columbia Association Watershed Manager will work with us to plant native species in an area where invasive plants have recently been removed. This is a great opportunity to nurture a local ecosystem and get dirty putting plants in the ground with friends. We may have a fun surprise activity too. September 7 from 3PM - 5PM.

Camping 101 in the Patapsco Hilton area

A seasoned Outward Bound instructor will show families the basics of camping to include what to pack, how to set up a tent, and how to make a campfire. The two host families will camp overnight with other CFIN families that have already booked their tent or cabin sites.  While there are no additional camp sites available, families are invited to spend the afternoon/early evening at this outing to enjoy the camping 101 information, a hike, campfire, and camaraderie. This part of Patapsco is also home to the famous tire playground. September 20 at 3PM.
