Property Standards
When was the last time you stood back and took a critical look at the exterior of your home and your landscaping? If you were a potential buyer, would you find your home in good condition and well-maintained or does your property have a less than positive curb appeal? We ask that each property owner take a critical look at their own home this spring to determine if property maintenance is needed and then create a plan for getting the work done.
The Village Board of Directors authorized your Association to seek funding from the Columbia Association to conduct an all-village Property Standards Evaluation in Fiscal Year 2017 (beginning May 1, 2016.) This request was approved as part of the FY2017 budget. In the coming months, we will be conducting curbside evaluations of all single family homes, townhomes, and condominiums throughout Harper's Choice in an effort to ensure that our community is visually in compliance with the covenants and ultimately, that our community remains vibrant and attractive for all current and future residents.
We encourage you to take the necessary steps now to maintain your property. Keep in mind that if the work that you plan to complete requires a change to the exterior of your home, an exterior alteration application may need to be submitted. This document and others can be found on the Village website, www.harperschoice.org. Still have questions? Contact your Covenant Advisor, Debbie Nix, at 410-730-0770 or via email: covenants@harperschoice.org Thank you!
