We were incredibly honored to receive the Sharen Gutshall Outstanding Citizen Award from the Borough of Huntingdon Council!
We’re usually the ones behind the scenes celebrating and recognizing the amazing businesses, organizations, and individuals who make Huntingdon County so special. So, being on the receiving end of an award was definitely a little outside our comfort zone!
But this one means so much to us.
This summer, our team has worked HARD—and we’ve had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Gavin Smith to our team as our summer intern. Together, Trinity, Gavin, and MacKenzie have tackled more than we could have imagined!
From a major cleanup and restoration of Hunt Tower to pulling together a community-wide event in just a matter of weeks, all while keeping up with the everyday work of the Chamber, serving our members, helping our community, and taking on plenty of those famous “other duties as assigned” moments… our team has truly stepped up!
And the truth is, so much of what happens at the Chamber happens behind the scenes. There are long days, last-minute phone calls, moving parts, problem-solving, and a whole lot of teamwork that most people never see.
We don’t serve our community expecting recognition. We do it because we love Huntingdon County, we believe in our community, and we genuinely love what we do.
That’s why this recognition is especially meaningful.
A HUGE thank you to Huntingdon Borough Council and everyone who took the time to recognize our efforts with this incredible honor. We are incredibly grateful, humbled, and truly appreciative.
And to our Chamber members, volunteers, partners, supporters, and everyone who continues to cheer us on—thank you! We couldn’t do what we do without you.
We may be more comfortable giving the awards… but we are incredibly grateful to have received this one.
Thank you for allowing us to serve our community. It truly is an honor!
