Winter is back! Just kidding... As we approach Spring and COVID-19 restrictions decrease our youth will be searching for activities to keep themselves engaged. As we all know, sometimes, young people find themselves in difficult situations when left idle. To combat violence in our community and give our youth an opportunity to participate in a team sport with their neighbors, HCCI partnered with The National Association of Each One Teach One, Inc. to present the "March Madness HS Basketball Tournament Against Gun Violence". Butts III, Senior Pastor of The Abyssinian Baptist Church; Mr. Malik Yoba - actor, developer, and activist; Mr. Willie Walker a civic leader, and philanthropist; Mr. Olumide "Miday" Wilkey, Portfolio Manager at UBS Financial Services, Inc.; Ms. Melba Wilson - restaurateur and author; and Union Baptist Church, a founding member congregation of HCCI.
