Humboldt County educators have responded to the current demands with tenacity, resilience, creativity and above all, deep concern for the welfare of the needs of our students, families and communities. When COVID-19 virus took hold teachers across all Humboldt County schools shifted their method of instructing children on a dime and are serving as a critical catalyst for innovative program design and the hub of student support.
These heroic efforts deserve recognition and admiration! The week of May 4-8th represents Teacher Appreciation Week, with the National Day of the Teacher being May 5. Please help me in thanking all teachers for their incredible service, dedication and care for our students.
Even though we are practicing social distancing, find a way to acknowledge the tremendous work of your teachers and give them a big thanks and moment of appreciation. A positive gesture or a few kind words can make a world of difference.
To all the teachers, please accept my sincere and deepest appreciation. Your service and commitment to our students has never been more important than now and our community, families and students honor you for your level of care, compassion, and dedication to each child. Thank you for your care for our children, it is an honor serving you, thank you for being the heroes of our time.
