I am an enthusiastic new professional in the field of transportation engineering, and I'm excited to be part of the McTrans team. My journey in this field began with my Civil Engineering degree in Brazil, followed by a formative year at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy, where I consolidated my expertise in traffic operation and roadway construction. This international experience was not only educational but also eye-opening, allowing me to view the transportation field from a global perspective.
After my undergrad I had the opportunity to work with a railway company, focusing on operational analyses. My passion for new technologies in transportation led me to pursue a Master's in Transportation Engineering at the University of São Paulo, further deepening my knowledge and skills.
In the past three years, I've been engaged in research at the University of Florida and pursuing Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering. My research primarily focuses on the study and analysis of autonomous shuttle (AS) vehicles' trajectories, including the development and implementation of dedicated car-following models for AS.
Joining McTrans in 2023 marked a significant milestone in my career. Here, I'm involved in the development and testing of innovative software. My main project, which excites me greatly, is developing a new product aimed at enhancing road intersections and aiding in investment decisions related to transportation infrastructure.
I believe that the future of transportation engineering is not just about roads and vehicles, but about creating intelligent systems that enhance the way we live and move. At McTrans, I aim to contribute to this vision, combining my passion for innovation with my commitment to practical solutions. I look forward to being a part of transformative projects that will redefine our approach to transportation.
