as TRUE Sports

True Temper Sports, which manufactures hockey, lacrosse and golf equipment, has rebranded as TRUE Sports. TRUE Sports believed this was the perfect time to unify its brands - which includes TRUE Hockey and TRUE Lacrosse - and company under one banner.


U.S. Sled Hockey Team Founder
John Schatzlein Passes Away

A spinal cord injury at age 14 led Wisconsin native and Minnesota resident John Schatzlein to form the first U.S. Sled Hockey team and to make sports arenas and other places more accessible for people with disabilities. Schatzlein died June 30 at age 70 from illnesses related to his spinal cord injury.

The collaboration for the purchase of hockey equipment by U.S. hockey dealers between HDA, the National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA) and Sports Distributors of Canada (SDC) continues to grow.
