The goal of PSPCO is to foster the development of the next generation of clinical scientists to be effective partners with discovery scientists and conduct high impact and innovative patient-centered cancer research. Bench to Bedside Workshop July 18-22, 2022
Lead by Felix Feng, MD, Michelle Arkin, PhD, and Trever Bivona, MD/PhD, this workshop will provide training and a rigorous foundation for hypothesis-driven patient-focused research, covering clinical and preclinical iteration. Attendees will participate in interactive didactic and individualized discussions that culminate in a translational and/or clinical research protocol synopsis focused on testing a patient-centered hypothesis of their interest(s). Summer Research for UCSF Med Students

Each summer med students between their 1st and 2nd years can participate in Summer Explore, an 8-week research internship. HDFCCC has funding to support 2 of these students. Funding Opportunity: Emerson Collective Health Research Scholars Post-Bacc Program
Sponsored by Emerson Collective, this program matches recent college graduates with paid immersive research and training opportunities. 1-2 years of support, beginning no later than Sept. 1, 2022. Candidates will be screened for your consideration. Each scholar is provided:
  • Stipend support, fringe benefits, and training resources for each scholar (up to $70,000 each year).
  • $10,000 for laboratory consumables or other resources

  • Position Description: describe the research activities expected of the post-baccalaureate scholar over 2 years. Please include a list of keywords to clarify proposed research activities.
