Snohomish Block Party

Are you ready for a good time?

What is the Snohomish Block Party? The Block Party will be a time where all of Snohomish and Snohomish County can come together to let their hair down and have some fun. Our hopes are that the Block Party will bring everyone together, while at the same time, bring more business to store owners and restaurants. We have all been through a tough time the last 18 months. The Snohomish Block Party is our chance to celebrate making it through.

August 20, 21 & 22

We would love to give 100% of the details for the weekend right now. However, we are still working on solidifying some of the fun! We also have to be very flexible in our planning as we come out of the pandemic. We will do our best to keep you fully up to date as we move forward.

Here is the information we can give you right now:

Friday Night (August 20th)

We are still finalizing plans for Friday Night. What we do know is that it will involve alcohol and shopping. We will have these plans finalized early next week.
Snohomish Wine Night Out!

Join us Friday night, August 20th. We will be visiting our local wine merchants and enjoying late-night shopping. Summer is making a comeback!

Late Night Shopping - shops have committed to being open until at least 10:00 PM. Some shops will have incentives - more to come!

Snohomish Live

Snohomish Live is our name for the concert series which will happen on Saturday, August 21st. Currently, we are planning to have three stages along 1st Street with the main stage being next to the Carnegie Building. The side stages will take advantage of the current outside dining setup.

Come enjoy a meal and a drink at a local eatery while enjoying a concert! The side stages will have music from approximately 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM. We will have a beer garden on Cedar Street, which will be available while we have live music on the main stage. The main stage area will be the only ticketed area.

We have already signed one well known headliner for the main stage and are working on finalizing some others. Tickets will be available for insiders for only $20 starting next week.

Walter Jones Hall of Fame Cookoff

For Sunday, we will have the Walter Jones Hall of Fame Cookoff. Walter Jones will be in Snohomish on both Saturday and Sunday signing autographs and getting photos at his B2EDI Pop-Up Shop. For Sunday, we are working on finalizing plans for his Hall of Fame Cookoff. The Cookoff will feature many different foods from our amazing local restaurants. Walter and friends will then decide which foods make his Hall of Fame.

Kid Concert

Our current plans call for a kid centered concert on Sunday at 11:00 AM utilizing one of the stages from Saturday. We have tentative confirmation from a local artist to play this concert. However, he will only play if the Governor has fully reopened the State. We also plan to bring in other fun games and activities for the kids on Sunday.

Presenting Sponsor

We want to give a huge thank you to John L. Scott Snohomish. They have jumped on board as our Presenting Sponsor and we could not be more excited.

Summer in downtown Snohomish just wouldn't be the same without our iconic and stunning flower baskets! While the Historic Downtown Snohomish Association has once again teamed up with the Snohomish Garden Club and the city to decorate the town with flowers, we need your help. By sponsoring a flower basket, you can help us extend the bright and welcoming feel that flowers bring to the historic district. Are you in?

Commemorate a loved one or simply show your love for your favorite downtown! For your donation of $100, you will help build and maintain one of our amazing flower baskets all summer long. You will also receive a map which indicates the location of your basket so you can visit it as often as you like and share its beauty with your friends and family. As a thank you, we will engrave a short message of your choice onto a commemorative wooden ornament which will be shipped to you in time for the holiday season.

For businesses that wish to sponsor a basket at the $500 level, HDSA will highlight your business as an official sponsor on this page and will give you shout-outs on social media and our monthly newsletter. In addition, if your sponsorship is received before June 1st, your logo will appear on the map that is sent to all Snohomish Flower Basket Sponsors.

Help us keep Snohomish in bloom all summer long!

Snohomish Farmers Market

We would love to have you with us as part of the celebration.

The Snohomish Farmers Market will be celebrating it's 30th Anniversary this year. The market will be back downtown in their favored location, on Cedar Street with the new backdrop of the revitalized Carnegie building.

The market has grown exponentially in the last 5-10 years and we are no longer a small stop on Thursdays, but a thriving community of local farmers, processors, food artisans and crafters that produce over a half-million dollars each year - right back into our own community. We also have extensive programs for children and low-income shoppers, helping to provide nutritious food options and incentives for shopping from local farmers.

Discovering Vetucchio (aka, Riverview Wildlife Refuge)

From Tom Pendergast's blog:

"I’m no fan of this pandemic but without it, there would be no Vetucchio. There would be no magical land of early morning fog, no kaleidoscope of birds, no month-long daily binge on blackberries, no daily escape from the routine to this wonderful landscape just down the street from my house."

In its efforts to implement the Main Street approach to organizational structure and management, the HDSA has four committees: Organization, Design, Economic Vitality and Promotion. These four committees form the basis for the Main Street Four-Point Approach which is a time-tested, holistic approach to historic downtown revitalization efforts nationwide.

If you are interested in volunteering in any of these Committees, please reach out to Terry Schuler at terrys.hdsa@gmail.com.
The Snohomish Map and Directory - updated May 31, 2021!

This map & directory represents hours of computer research, thank you Google, miles of walking and re=walking our streets, to assure that every building, business, service, ATM and city park was accounted for. Our goal is for the Historic Downtown District visitors to find you, shop, visit and share a meal in our town with the hope that they enjoy their time with us and return often. Please let us know of any corrections.

Such an undertaking! Maps are now in the 3 kiosks on 1st Street! And, look for the QR Code on merchants windows. You can use your smartphone camera to grab the QR Code and you can download a .pdf of the map.
