WOW! What a fun weekend!

Thank you all who attended the inaugural Snohomish Block Party and made it such a fun event! It was a blast seeing so many familiar faces out there. We have a ton of shout outs to give!

First and foremost, thank you to Grant Harrington of the Snohomish Running Company for his vision and including us in the execution.

Thank you to Gibbs, Terry and Ingrid of the Historic Downtown Snohomish Association and Kelli of John L. Scott Snohomish for being our co-conspirators.

Thank you to all the amazing performers who played on 1st Street, the Kla Ha Ya Park stage, the mainstage at the Carnegie and on the Looking Glass Stage, and to MC Torry Holimon.

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who lent a hand. Thank you to all the restaurants, breweries, bars, food trucks and shops who participated.

Thank you to Wendy and the City of Snohomish for all your support. Thank you to Eddie and the production crew at Groove Merchant NW.

And last but not least, thank you to all our co-sponsors - Presenting sponsor John L Scott,

Snohomish Stores Outdoors

In our effort to turn lemons into lemonade, we invite you to join us for Snohomish Stores Outdoors, an open-air Labor Day Weekend event where the award-winning shops and restaurants of Historic Downtown Snohomish will be outdoors. That is right - our retailers are coming out onto the sidewalks.

Downtown Snohomish will turn into a smorgasbord of tasty delights, antiques, home furnishings and hard-to-find, one-of-a-kind clothing items. Saunter along the Historic District streets and be tempted over and over again by delectable al fresco offerings from our merchants. Sit and rest under an umbrella, sip a new wine, visit with old friends, or people watch as you enjoy your meal. Restaurants and Wine Bars will be serving their most innovative and popular menu items outdoors.

Walk off your indulgences and stimulate your creative self while browsing around antiques and rummaging through treasures at our artisan shops; start your holiday shopping list if you are so inclined. Our merchants will join you on the sidewalks to introduce you to their locally made treasures.

Do not forget your COVID mask, or even better, buy a unique new one in town. Masks are mandatory for all indoor spaces per Phase II COVID-19 regulations. If you are looking for a certain store or restaurant’s hours of operation, go to the HDSA website, click the link to ‘Open for Business’.

For the latest COVID information, please go to the DOH website:

We look forward to seeing you!

How to find us:
Congratulations to Kathleen McGrath and her team at Oopsie Daisy Boutique for supporting our community for the last 2 years.

New HDSA Gold Member!

We'd like to welcome the newest HDSA Gold Member - Jezebel VonZephyr photography! We're thrilled to have them as one of our sponsors, and we'll work closely with them for future events.

Here are some questions we thought you'd want to ask:

1 - How did you come up with the name of your business.

"Jezebel VonZephyr" is quite the mouth full and we picked it in part because of its uniqueness but mostly because we wanted the studio to feel a bit like it's own entity. I've always loved the strong feminist vibes of the name "Jezebel" and the freedom it gives women to embrace all sides of themselves. "Von" and "Zephyr" came quite literally from a burlesque name generator on Google and I loved the way the whole thing flowed together.

We talk often about Jezebel being her own person and all the things we learn from her too (she/her pronouns please). She gives permission to not be perfect, to do it wrong, to let go. Everyone needs a place to do that. Most people assume it's letting go of clothing, but mostly it's letting go of old stories, old thought patterns and beliefs, old ways of seeing yourself. Recently we had someone come in smash plates and destroy beauty magazines for several hours as one big "no, thanks" to the beauty industry standards. We break molds here and Jezebel says "it's okay".

Jezebel VonZephyr….like our clients it feels free, a little wild and a touch of sass.

2 - Why are your photos so unique

We build strong women through the art of photography and the lens of unconditional love with the goal of helping women to have an empowering experience. Our images are unique in part because they are not about us-they are for and about the brave woman in fron of us. They are about YOU.

We want our clients to feel seen, heard, understood and validated and we honor where each woman is on their personal journey when they step into our studio. It takes a lot of courage and vulnerability to book a boudoir session and we give each client a high level of care and comfort so that they feel accepted and comfortable once they step in front of the camera. We want women to see themselves in a new light and hopefully kickstart (or continue on) a journey of self-love.

Our goal is always for a woman to own her body and herself without apology or excuse. We want them to walk away from a session feeling empowered and powerful. Our photos are different because it's not about photos, it's about the experience and the journey that the photos can take them on. Over 1,000 women have come through our doors in the past 8 years, this experience will change your life if you let it.

3 - What do you think is special about Historic Downtown Snohomish and your studio?

Photography, much like downtown Snohomish, is timeless and classic. We want women to not only have an empowering, uplifting experience in our studio, but also to have photos of themselves that they will treasure for the rest of their lives. We capture their light and unique spark--which we think is quite a timeless way to photograph women! You see you and all your personality on your best day in our final product.

We love our studio because we're housed in one of the most gorgeous buildings in the town! We've had our eye on it for many years (since early 2014) till finally moving in September 2019. We adore the natural light that streams through our 12' floor to ceiling windows and changes with each season--it makes every session unique and beautiful in its own way. September light is our absolute favorite-it's so golden and cozy! The exposed brick is simply stunning, and the crown moldings are dramatic and add flair to our 7+ sets. It makes for a classic and theatric backdrop that looks good with everything from headshots to nearly nude boudoir photos.

We love being a part of the vibrant downtown environment and connecting with community members. We couldn't dream of a better place for our studio to call home!

The Snohomish Map and Directory - updated August 4th, 2021!

This map & directory represents hours of computer research, thank you Google, miles of walking and re=walking our streets, to assure that every building, business, service, ATM and city park was accounted for. Our goal is for the Historic Downtown District visitors to find you, shop, visit and share a meal in our town with the hope that they enjoy their time with us and return often. Please let us know of any corrections.

Such an undertaking! Maps are now in the 3 kiosks on 1st Street! And, look for the QR Code on merchants windows. You can use your smartphone camera to grab the QR Code and you can download a .pdf of the map.
