Headlines Newsletter | First Semester 2019-2020 Academic Year

A PERSONAL NOTE FROM MS. HEAD

Just past the midpoint of our academic year, which also marks the close of my first full year in Indianapolis, I continue to be amazed by our educators, administrators, students, families, and long-time supporters. Together, we continue to mark significant breakthroughs with each passing month, and it is a testament to the passion and engagement of our special community.

In January, school leadership rolled out our  ISI Strategic Plan 2020-2024 . I invite you to review the plan and explore the vital imperatives that will help ensure ISI prospers in this new decade with a recommitment to our distinct academics, by growing enrollment and better awareness, and stewarding an ever-stronger fiscal positioning.

Central to the Strategic Plan and to delivering ever-better opportunities to our students in the classroom is the unification of our campuses and the campaign working to make it happen continues to exceed expectations. Just five months after the public launch of  ONE ISI , the groundbreaking for the new  Chen Family Lower School  on our Michigan Road campus is looking incredibly likely in 2020.

But it is so important to remember that any new school building is only as valuable as the learning that happens within it. This is why I am extremely excited to promote our great annual tradition -  Travel Auction & Gala  - coming on March 7 at the historic Crowne Plaza Union Station with the theme of ONE Future. Travel auction raises unrestricted dollars for the ISI Annual Fund. These dollars most directly impact classrooms and learning, because they can be directed at any time to any area of immediate need or opportunity. In support of this vital revenue source, I trust our community will rally around the event with  sponsorships, ticket purchases, and auction bids .

The midpoint of the academic year can be a time of reflection and celebration for all that has been achieved to date, but it also means that we have much more ahead of us, accomplishments that we'll secure as a community, together.
