WEEKLY UPDATE: March 7 - 13, 2026 | | |
DEEP LAB AT END STATION 3:
- Ongoing deliveries to the HEPL South building will take place including lab tools, equipment, furniture, and finishes.
- The main entrance to Deep Lab/ES3 on S. Service Road will no longer be accessible due to site improvement activities.
- Exterior activities include: Concrete curb formwork, a concrete curb pour, and grading.
- Interior activities include: Wood cap installation at Mezzanine 2 guardrail, lab tool hook-up, lab tool seismic anchoring, and 2-way communication box installation.
- Work hours are 6am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.
1215 WELCH ROAD RESEARCH BUILDING:
- Work on Saturday 3/7 to maintain schedule.
- Ongoing deliveries to the construction site from Welch Road gate entrance.
- Use caution around the site and follow pedestrian detour signage.
- Continue noisy underground trenching & utility work.
- Paving of crane road and truck delivery road inside the jobsite.
- Work hours are 6am to 5pm, Monday through Friday with Saturdays as needed.
NDCCH UPS ELECTRICAL UPGRADE PROJECT:
- Commissioning of the systems and equipment.
- Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8am to 3pm.
NOVATT ART SCULPTURE:
- Art sculpture installation is complete and site restoration work will now start.
- Work hours are from 7am to 5pm.

ARRILLAGA TENNIS CENTER (TAUBE TENNIS CENTER):
- There will be onsite work Saturday, 3/7 starting at 7am. All work will be contained to the site and minimally disruptive.
- Surge trailers have been put in place between Taube Pavilion at Arrillaga Tennis Center (Taube Tennis South) and Arrillaga Center for Sports and Recreation. These will remain in place for the duration of the Arrillaga Tennis Center project.
- The sidewalk on Campus Drive will be closed, please follow posted detour signs to ensure your safety.
- The walking path between the tennis stadium and Avery Aquatic Center will be closed to through traffic. Please follow detour signs.
STANFORD SOFTBALL STADIUM (SMITH SOFTBALL STADIUM):
- Minor construction work is ongoing around the site. Please follow signs and use cation in this area.
LACROSSE PRACTICE FIELD:
- Minor construction and landscaping work is ongoing in and around the site. Please follow signs and use caution in this area.
CERAS DEMOLITION:
- The project has mobilized with site fencing around the facility. Deliveries will be expected regularly off of Galvez Street. Debris bin off haul is expected daily during the week at 9am.
- Activities include demolition of the building interior. Expect noise from running vehicles, hand tools and equipment.
- Please follow any/all pedestrian detours and posted signage.
- Work hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.
ESCONDIDO VILLAGE UTILITY RENEWALS:
- Site restoration work and preparation for curb and gutter rework on Angell Court & Comstock Circle.
- Vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be in place. Please follow direction from postage signage.
- Expect a reduced number of parking spaces in Angell Court.
- Work hours are from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

All scheduled work is subject to change based on weather conditions.
There will be no noise-producing work during dead and finals weeks.
ESCONDIDO VILLAGE - Hulme, Barnes and Abrams Court:
- Through April 2026, there will be project crews near Hulme Court and Buildings 84, 85, 88, 89, 91 and 93.
- There will be intermittent noise-producing work in the Hulme, Barnes, and Abrams midrise basements through Friday, 4/10.
- If you park in the Olmsted, Barnes, Hulme or Abrams parking lots, please note there will be signs installed where parking will not be permitted. Vehicles not moved prior to construction in these areas will be relocated.
ESCONDIDO VILLAGE - Abrams, Barnes, and Hulme Shutdowns:
- In March and April, there will be 8-hour power shutdowns in several buildings across Barnes and Hulme Court from 9am to 5pm:
- Buildings 70-73 will experience shutdowns on Monday, 3/30
- Buildings 77-78 will experience shutdowns on Tuesday, 3/31
- Buildings 75, 76, and 86 will experience shutdowns on Wednesday, 4/1
- Buildings 55 and 56 will experience shutdowns on Thursday, 4/2
- During these scheduled shutdowns, no electrical outlets or lights will function. Domestic water will continue to be provided in kitchens and bathrooms, but hot water will not be available. Water will start reheating soon after electrical services are restored, and hot water should be available within two hours thereafter. Elevators will be placed offline at 8:45am and set in an open and locked position on the first floor for the entirety of the power outage. Impacted residents have been sent additional information.
Athletic Housing, Mulberry Daycare, and Abrams and Barnes Court Water Shutdowns:
- On Saturday, 3/28, the water will be shut off in the following locations from 9am to 5pm.
- Stanford Athletic Housing: Buildings 621-624, 626, 631-634
- Mulberry Building 10-680
- Abrams and Barnes Court: Buildings 68-70
- This work will require a shutdown of one lane on Olmstead Road from Building 621 to Mulberry House on Thursday 3/26 through Tuesday, 3/31. Project team members will be in the area conducting prep work from Thursday, 3/26 through Friday, 3/27. Asphalt restoration will take place on Monday, 3/30.
Acorn and Mulberry House:
- There will be landscape improvements outside of Acorn and Mulberry House and the Daycare from Monday, 3/23 through Wednesday, 3/25.
ESCONDIDO VILLAGE - Buildings 31, 40, 41, 42, and Studio 5:
- Beginning Friday, 3/27 there will be intermittent noise-producing work, equipment backup alarms, jackhammering, and the use of heavy machinery which can be loud and cause small vibrations near Buildings 31, 42 and Studio 5.
- There will be work with similar impacts near Buildings 40, 41, and 42 beginning on Monday, 3/23.
ESCONDIDO VILLAGE - Angell Court:
- There will be intermittent noise producing work at Angell Court through Monday, 4/20.
ESCONDIDO VILLAGE - Buildings 17, 18, 19, 28, 30, and 31:
- There will be intermittent noise producing work near Buildings 17, 18, 19, 28, 30, and 31 through mid-March.
MAIN CAMPUS:
- There will be ongoing utility work around Panama Mall in the Main Campus.
- There will be intermittent single-lane road closures at the following locations through Sunday, 3/15:
- Campus Drive near the Alum Green
- Panama Street from the Via Ortega Garage to Cordura Hall
- Ventura Hall Driveway near Panama Street
ChEM-H Building Parking Lot and Shutdowns:
- If you park in the Chem-H Building Parking lot, please note that several parking stalls will be unavailable from Tuesday, 3/24 through Thursday, 3/26.
- There will be 1.5 hour shutdowns in the Chem-H Building on Tuesday, 3/24, Wednesday, 3/25, and Thursday, 3/26. These shutdowns will occur from 7am to 8:30am; project team members will remain in the area through 9pm.
- During these scheduled shutdowns, no electrical outlets or lights will function. Domestic water will continue to be provided, but hot water will not be available. Water will start reheating soon after electrical services are restored, and hot water should be available within two hours thereafter.
