Effective January 1, 2021, HEALTHeLINK will accept consent forms that are computer generated ONLY
. Any hand-printed forms that are received after January 1 will be considered invalid. HEALTHeLINK has several options available to participants to verify if a consent option has already been established, create a computer-generated form, and/or update a consent value in real-time.
To ensure compliance with federal and state privacy regulations, as previously announced and in place as of September 1, any practice whose current patient list is more than four months old will have their alert notifications based on this list deactivated. This policy is consistent with the attestation the practice signed when setting up alerts outlining that lists are to be maintained monthly.
As the current HEALTHeLINK tokens used for Two-Factor Authentication are approaching the end of their two-year guaranteed life, also effective as of September 1 is our new token issuance policy. Participants are now required to move their users' TFA methods to one of the following:
- Use of the DUO App for push authentications, installed on user's unique cell phone
- Authentication code texted to user's unique cell phone
- Authentication message to user's unique direct dial phone (cell phone or landline)
- Apply for and be certified for Trusted Site status
If none of these options are feasible for your practice, speak to your account manager about options to purchase a new token.
For questions on any of these policy updates, please contact your HEALTHeLINK account manager.
