Hey, I'm Jason Berlin, founder of Field Team 6. Our mission is: Register Democrats. Save the world.

That's how I introduced myself to the countless fellow organizers I met at Netroots Nation in Chicago, the biggest grassroots organizing conference in the country. Thank you to the donors who made this trip possible, and thank you to every organizer and volunteer and partner organization who has helped register our almost 2.9 million total Democratic voters. Because of you, I am bursting with pride every time I speak about Field Team 6. And because of you, our name rings out! At Netroots, SO many people from across the country lit up when they heard me say "Field Team 6" – and then said things like "Oh my God, Field Team 6 does such amazing work!!" How incredibly validating to all your efforts and support! What started as a small band of passionate activists is now beginning to be a nationwide phenomenon.

I took full advantage of the great privilege of being there. I used unspeakable amounts of coffee to activate my extroversion engines... meet every single amazing human I possibly could... and bring home exciting ideas, new or deepened friendships, and fresh opportunities for partnerships.

When thousands of the brightest-burning activists across the country get together, the energy is electric. I've never been to a place with higher inspiration per capita.

Some highlights:

• spoke with Wisconsin’s incredible Senate candidate Mandela Barnes, who is not ruling out another run for office

• charted a partnership with environmental visionary RL Miller of Climate Hawk Votes

• met climate leader Rep. Sean Casten (IL-06) and heard about the environmental progress he’s working on with star California Rep. Mike Levin.

• plotted with Santiago Mayer, Victor Shi, and Justin Meszler from Voters of Tomorrow

• finally met super organizer Alexander Montalvo of the Texas Grassroots Alliance

• learned of the inspiring work of 1000 Women Strong in Georgia and other states

• shook hands with Rep. Maxwell Frost (FL), the first Gen Z member of Congress

• thanked member of the Tennessee Three, the incredible State Rep. Justin Jones

• met Twitter legend BrooklynDad_Defiant! and thanked him for his hilarity and insight

• organized with great friends Wayne Liebman (Blue Voter Guide/Field Team 6) - Tamara Levenson (Grassroots Dem HQ) - Tudor, creator of Speechifai - Jamie Carter (Demcast) - Aram Fischer (Indivisible Middle Tier, so much more) - and many others.

The benefits of this conference will fuel our outreach the rest of this election cycle and beyond. But here's the most important thing. Whenever the news makes you despair, whenever the present seems crushed between the losses of the past and the uncertainty of the future, remember: you are an activist. There are thousands and thousands of us across the country. We do not give up. We do not let up. We do not wait up. We speak up. We stand up. We lift each other up.

We bring heart to the fight. Heart is courage, heart is empathy, heart is joy coupled with deep resolve. My heart is so full right now. I hope yours is too. Now let's go register some Democrats!!

Thanks to the tireless work of activists who gathered over 710,000 petition signatures (nearly twice the 413,000 needed) a referendum to enshrine abortion rights in the state constitution will be on November’s ballot.

Did we say “hugely consequential?” [Checks notes.] Yes, we did!

The hits just keep coming from GOP Congressman George Santos. He won his NY-03 seat in a wave of 2023 upsets in the Empire State. Then was charged with fraud in a federal indictment. Plus, he's been exposed as a serial liar with fake claims of college degrees, Wall Street jobs, and Jewish heritage. And just this week, he said he's a regular Rosa Parks for refusing to sit in the back of the State of the Union like Senator Mitt Romney wisely suggested.

That should get you sufficiently fired up to help us take him down – and take back the House – in 2024. So join this phone bank, and help register eligible voters who are likely Democrats. Our partner Bake Back Better is holding a fundraiser for Field Team 6 partner, NEAZ (Northeast Arizona Native Democrats). We are very excited to be doing partisan voter registration on sovereign lands, and hope to build on this to work with other Native American organizations, too. 

Bake Back Better is looking for Los Angeles-based bakers and drivers to fulfill cupcake orders in the LA area for the NEAZ fundraiser. Donations means FT6 gets to do even more voter registration with NEAZ!
