While most of us wish for impact in our everyday lives, meet Young Global Citizens who spent time with me via Zoom on Valentine's Day. I learned more about how these young students are intent in creating change and impacting lives globally. Thanks to Blessed Sacrament School in Vancouver for the dozens of digital Valentine's cards. Our future is in good hands. A new added value to the word love.

What an honour to be speaking to educators in Alberta this month. How do we support teachers and create inclusive environments for youth from many cultures? Wherever you were educated, how many of you remember the teachers who had long-lasting impact in your life?

It's time for us to rally for educators as they influence our young far beyond a school calendar year and have suffered under the weight of criticism and Covid. Thanks to Alberta Teachers Association and Palliser District Teachers Association for the invite to speak and play Feb. 17 and 23.

Music, dance, ice activities, even axe-throwing and beard-growing are all happening Feb. 17 to 26 in Winnipeg at the Festival du Voyageur. Glad to be back in my hometown and to play alongside First Nation, Innu and Metis artists Feb. 26. Hé ho!
