Each and every day, Ohio Auxiliary show compassion, meet challenges and face life changing decisions. Though we live miles apart, when this team of women get together, we are stronger, we are better.

On Saturday, August 19, 2023, the Ohio Auxiliary met at Grace Bible Church in Canal Winchester to strengthen and sharpen one another.

Spiritual Atmosphere

"Sitting at the feet of Jesus," led by Auxiliary State Chaplain Susan McKinney at the beginning of our event, set the spiritual atmosphere for the entire day.

Thank you, Chaplain Susan! The effective, fervent corporate prayer welcomed the Holy Spirit.

Following the inspiring training by IACR Rebecca Griffith, the attendees enjoyed a very tasty lunch and yummy birthday cupcakes. Happy birthday was sung to Ohio Auxiliary Vice President Rustae King (celebrating on her special day) and Scripture Funds Coordinator DoRetta Cline (birthday on Monday, August 21).

Generous donations for GideonCards were given in honor of Roy & Rebecca Griffith's 45th anniversary ($80 collected), Rustae King's birthday ($60 collected) and DoRetta Cline's birthday ($60 collected).

All glory to God for the Scriptures that will be purchased!

Following the visit by Queen Esther, the Auxiliary enjoyed five short powerful HEART presentations by Rhonda Corbin (H), Elaine Winzeler (E), Carol Lea Brown (A), Rustae King (R) and Tina Basinger (T). The influential puzzle piece stories were memorable.

SWOT Analysis

After the HEART touching presentations, the Auxiliary divided into five teams representing our five core programs - Membership, Prayer & Personal Witnessing, GideonCard, Scripture Distribution and Scripture Funds. Together as a team the ladies created a SWOT analysis on each program. The two+ hour exercise was beneficial to all groups. We learned the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats for each program. Participants were given opportunities to share what works and what doesn't.

The productive day was concluded by a standing circle to sing "Blest Be the Tie." North Regional Director Kathy Gibson's powerful prayer adjourned the meeting.
