Pokémon Summer Quest

We will be painting and gluing 19" Leaning Ladders and making different 4x4" inserts for them.

We will paint and glue 4 to 5 sets of seasonal 4x4" inserts. See pictures for examples. All supplies are included. Wear clothes you can get messy in, aprons are optional.

Join FunWithBots.com in our 20th year turning Summer Fun and Mayhem into STEM! Our weeklong Robotics Summer Day Camp offers 4-18-year-olds an opportunity to learn mechanical and structural engineering, logic, coding, math, and physics in an engaging week of hands-on LEGO Robotics exploration. A Moon Base? A City? A Theme Park? LEGO Stop Motion Animation? FIRST LEGO League? Students will choose their adventure theme, then build and code their robotic creations with motors, gears, pulleys, sensors, and more. FunWithBots instructors are trained to meet each student where they are and to individualize instruction for maximum FUN and learning.

Minecraft: Cruise Into Summer

Get those Minecraft chests ready! We’re going on a one of a kind cruise. Participants will learn about cruise ships, how they’re built and designed, the different areas and activities, and so much more. Throughout the week, participants will build their own cruise ship in Minecraft adding more to it each day. There will be snacks and refreshments, trivia, and fun games to play. Participants will need a device with Minecraft and a Minecraft account.

Gymnastics Camp

Intermediate Back Handspring Camp M/W/F

This camp is designed for kids 6-12 who are able to meet the criteria for the intermediate class. During these 3 days, we will break down the skill into 3 important steps and we will also work on drills to master each step. Tumblers will be able to understand each step better, therefore, making it easier to perform. All our flexibility, strength exercises, and power drills will be focused on this one skill. Gymnasts must be signed up in the intermediate or be able to do a good handstand and bridge kick over to be able to attend this class.

Intro to Gymnastics Camp T/Th

This camp is geared towards kids 6-9 with little to no gymnastics background. We will work on 3 main skills on bars; pull over, cast, and back hip circle, we will learn a beam routine, we will learn to the vault by working on the approach and hurdle and we will focus on our 3 basic floor skills, cartwheel, handstand, and rolls. Kids in the beginner's class who were not promoted to intermediate or kids with little to no gymnastics experience will be able to enjoy this class.

A Week at the Vet Camp

Ever wanted to know what happens at the vet? We will spend our days learning the ins and outs at the vet's office. Grooming, Animal Anatomy, Diet and Nutrition, Types of Pets,

Animal Behaviors/Safety, Illness, Jobs in the Animal Field, Exams, Pet Care 101, Parasites,

Medicines, etc.! You will also bring your own stuffed pet every day to class. There will be crafts, games too! This class is offered to a younger group and an older group with age-appropriate information.

Reading Camp

9:00-12:00pm

Join us as we solve mysteries and complete an escape room using our powers of logic and deduction! We will learn how to read secret messages using Morse code and a pigpen cipher. There will also be team building activities where students must work together to solve an escape room! Snacks and drinks will be provided so please indicate if your child has any allergies when registering.

American Girl Doll Experience Camp

Bio: My name is Jackie Smith. I graduated in 1999 with a degree in elementary education. I taught kindergarten until my daughter was born. Since then I have stayed home and homeschooled my now teenage daughter. The last few years I have been teaching with the HEAT STEAM program.

Flat Stanley Flat You Summer Session

Join us as we go on adventure with Flat Stanley! Each day, students will take their Flat Stanley everywhere and document what they did to bring back the next day. After our adventure, we will create a FLAT YOU that we will mail to friends and family to go on an adventure.

Young Writers Workshop

Did you know that the youngest published author was four years old? According to the Guinness Book of Records, Dorothy Straight, born in 1958, wrote How the World Began in 1962. We will do an author study of Mo Willems who wrote the following book series: Knuffle Bunny; Pig and Elephant books; Pigeon books. We will look at author craft, and illustration style. We will learn about the 5 story components: characters, setting, plot, conflict, and resolution. We will learn about the writing process with planning, rough draft, and final draft. The end goal is to publish a class book! This will be a fun and creative class for students to tap into their inner writers and illustrators!

Animation Meme Workshop:

Animation Memes are small animations used to tell small parts of stories put to music that have been popular since the later 2000s. In this workshop, students will be making their own animation memes! That means learning to storyboard animations, make their own animations, and render a fully made animation meme!

Model United Nations Intro Workshop

Model United Nations is an academic simulation that is based on the activities of the United Nations General Assembly. The simulation allows students to role-play as they discuss and debate significant global events and crises. Students take on the role of diplomats representing nations from all over the world as they learn about the UN system, the skills of debate, compromise, conflict resolution and negotiation.

MUN covers a wide variety of subjects such as speech, debate, geography, history, political science, and professional presence.

Comic Art Workshop

🚀 A 4-Day High-Energy Multiplication Challenge! 🎯

Let’s end summer strong with a fast-paced, fun-filled review of multiplication facts! Multiplication Masters Academy is a 4-day interactive program designed to help kids memorize and master their multiplication facts through songs, rhymes, games, and challenges!

This program is not for learning multiplication from scratch—students should already understand that multiplication is repeated addition. Instead, this bootcamp-style program is all about building speed, accuracy, and confidence in recalling multiplication facts quickly and effortlessly before heading into the new school year!

Community Outreach Summer Session Camp

Older generations have so much to teach us—if we take the time to listen. Every community has people who have lived long, full lives with valuable stories, knowledge, and skills to share. In this summer project/outreach, students will make friends with a resident of a retirement home. They will listen to the story of their new friend’s life, and craft a biography capturing the moments that made their life meaningful!

In this summer session students will work on interviewing skills, planning and drafting, writing biographies, analyzing a mentor text, research skills, creating a time line of a life, letter writing as they make pen pals with their senior friend, presenting as they will present their biographies to the senior center, and empathy for others.

Summer Vocal Intensive

We will focus on vocal health and technique helping students refine and strengthen their performance & audition skills. Students will work on breath control, diction, phrasing, pitch perfection, range development, stage presence, and projection. Participants will receIve individual as well as group coaching. They will have the opportunity to connect with peers who share their passion for singing and music, and who will help each other become more engaging storytellers through song.

SEWING SUMMER ADVENTURE: A Fun Workshop for Kids!

Unleash your creativity this summer in our hands-on sewing workshop for kids! Whether you're a beginner or already love to sew, this workshop is the perfect place to explore the world of fabric, colors, and designs. Over the course of the workshop, kids will learn basic sewing techniques, work on exciting projects like personalized bags, colorful pillows, and/or unique accessories, all while having tons of fun! With guidance from a friendly instructor, each child will have the opportunity to create their very own handmade pieces to take home. Join us for a season of crafting, learning, and endless fun – it's the perfect way to make memories and discover a new hobby this summer!

AV CLUB: Summer Edition

3. . . 2 . . . 1 . . . Action! Want to learn more about the film industry and how films are made? Interested in making your own films? In this class, we will learn more about the way films are made, the different jobs on a film set, and more. Participants will work on scripts, work with others in the class to film and edit their short films, and work on advertisements for Tampa Bay Heat events and activities.

Musical Theatre Camp

A week-long musical theatre camp led by Ms Jen! Each day we will be playing improv games, learning popular show-tunes and choreography, gaining new skills which will improve stage presence and future performances.

On the final day everyone will present what was learned in a short performance.

Self-Care & Self-Esteem for Girls Camp

Join us for a time of learning about self-care and discussing how to have a sense of healthy self-esteem. Girls will enjoy learning about how to properly care for their skin, understanding the purpose of different facial products and how to use them. This class will also highlight face shape, brow shape, and hair styling that can enhance the beautiful features God created you with. We will also explore different body shapes and how to appropriately and modestly dress each shape in style, while also focusing on the importance of bringing attention to the face, not certain body parts. Our class will also explore basic makeup techniques that are appropriate for a teenager and enhances natural beauty and also touch on hair care--with some fun up-do options that are easy to do at home. Our class will also cover self-esteem and how God views us created in His image. Girls will be encouraged to lean into God and how He views them as His perfect creation.

Cooking Workshop Camp

Join Chef Stephanie Bridges for a fun summer cooking class! We will decorate (and eat!) cupcakes and cookies. We will make sushi sandwiches, fruit salad, “dirt” cups and more! There will be basic knife skills and safety education along with kid friendly nutrition. We will also play games and do activities. Ages 6-11.

Peter Rabbit Study Camp

Kids will be entering the world of Beatrix Potter for a week of literature fun. Peter Rabbit and friends will join us as we study stories, explore the science related to our characters, and engage in fun activities and crafts that tie into this wonderful story world. Kids will come away with a new appreciation for Potter’s writings, gain science facts relating to animals and nature, and enjoy learning in a hands on way through activities that will include painting, drawing, and crafting.

STEAM Summer Edition Camp

STEAM Summer Session is a 4 day all hands-on and messy STEAM learning time. We will make and explode volcanoes, build bridges, uncover what is inside of glaciers, and build habitats for animals, along with other hands-on activities as time allows.
