The Class Action lawsuit against the Dana Point Harbor Partners regarding the excessive slip fees is heating up. Boaters' attorneys have a tentative date of November 15 for the first deposition to be taken of the Partners' custodian of records. Depositions of the Partners' principals will follow shortly.
While time and legal rules put limits on questions that can be asked at depositions, we invite all boaters to make suggestions on questions you would like to ask the Partners regarding the slip fees, the revitalization, and the condition of the marina. Our attorneys will try to incorporate as many of the boaters' concerns as reasonably possible in the depositions.
This process is expensive; not only the attorney fees, but the deposition reporters' fees and transcription fees alone will add up to tens of thousands of dollars. Boaters' help with funding is urgently needed. Please consider making a contribution today to keep this process moving forward. Your help is much appreciated, and THANK YOU for all you have done to date.
To quote the great Coach Andy Reid in what he said to Patrick Mahomes in the final time out in one of the best comeback finishes in playoff football history when the Kansas City Chiefs had 13 seconds to tie Buffalo in the NFL divisional playoff game to take it to overtime, "When it's grim, be the grim reaper. Go get it."
DANA POINT BOATERS, WE ARE THE GRIM REAPER. LET'S GET THIS DONE. DIG DEEP INTO YOUR POCKETS AND DONATE TODAY. OUR 13 SECONDS BEGINS NOW!
Now is the time for action.
