WITHIN OUR FELLOWSHIP

Death: The congregation and staff wish to extend their sympathy to the family and friends of Cliff Schutjer. He passed away on Monday, September 16. Cliff was a former minister here at FCC for over 4 decades and was beloved by many in the church as well as the community. A Celebration of Life will be held here at the church at a later date. We will pass along the details when they become available.

PARKING LOT REPAIRS BEGIN MONDAY

Concrete repairs to the church parking lot will begin on Monday, September 23rd. The sections being repaired will be unavailable for approximately 1 week. Please avoid the roped off areas!!

RUMMAGE SALE DROP-OFF

Drop off times:

Sunday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Mon. - Thurs., 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, and
Saturday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Please note: ALL rummage should be placed in the Mobi Pods located in the church parking lot.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!!

We are looking for some additional volunteers to help with preparing the potato soup for the Rummage Sale workers. If you are willing to lend a hand, please contact Carla Sluss at 419.564.7575.

ARTIST SERIES EVENT - THIS SATURDAY

Our first event of the 2024-25 Artist Series is the Mansfield Community Chorus on THIS Saturday, September 21 at 3:00 pm, in the Sanctuary.

HEMLOCK TRAILS WORSHIP SERVICE/LUNCH

The Hemlock Trails Worship Service and Lunch will take place on THIS Sunday, September 22nd, at 10:30 am. The Church Life Committee will provide the lunch (hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, baked beans, potato salad, and dessert). PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING A LAWN CHAIR!!

The Chapel service will be held as usual at 8:30 here at the church.

IN CASE OF RAIN, THE SERVICE/LUNCH WILL BE HELD AT THE CHURCH

HALLOWEEN CANDY/COSTUMES

On Sunday, September 29, we will begin collecting candy AND new or gently used kids’ costumes for Truck or Treat which will take place on Saturday, October 26. Candy/costumes can be placed in the basket located in the church office. Additional details to follow.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING

Sunday, October 6, 2024

Immediately following the 10:30 Worship Service, the First Congregational Church will hold a Congregational Meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to approve the 2025 Proposed Church Operating Budget. The meeting will take place in the Sanctuary. For those with small children, babysitting will be provided.
