OPEN STUDIOS SERIES - MAKE ART TO LIVE TO BE 100
Mondays - October & November
| |
Join us in October and November for an inspiring open studio series celebrating artists who created well into their later years! Work on your own projects or experiment with our art supplies. Doodle, draw, paint, collage, chat and connect with your neighbors.
Each 2.5-hour session begins with community connections, followed by a 30-minute art talk about an inspiring artist who proves that creativity has no expiration date. You'll discover how Yayoi Kusama, David Hockney, Betye Saar, and others maintained their artistic passion throughout their lives.
After our artist study, participants can share current projects and receive supportive feedback before diving into open studio time. Work with art supplies provided by the Community Center and generous community donations: acrylic and watercolor paints, collage materials, Gelli plates, oil pastels, markers, brushes, and more.
No project? Try recreating a piece from our featured artist or experiment with new techniques in our relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Drop-in friendly - attend the sessions that work for your schedule
Please arrive promptly at 3pm / All skill levels welcome

“Z-Arts’ legacy depends on finding its next leader—time is running out!”
As 2025 comes to a close, our current esteemed president, Lizette Byer, will be stepping down from this role after an incredible five-year tenure, and we are eager to find enthusiastic candidates to take the lead beginning January 2026!

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO BECOME A MEMBER!
JOIN OR RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP TODAY!

Membership is enormously important to the sustainability of Z-Arts. There are several different Z-Arts membership levels (Individual, Family, Artist, Business, and Benefactor.)
Memberships give back to the community. Our local non-profit organization relies on small grants, memberships, sponsorships, and donations to provide quality arts and humanities programming within the Zion Canyon. Your membership also includes discounts at some ticketed events, workshop fees, as well as receiving the “Here’s Z Buzz” weekly newsletter email.
Memberships help demonstrate to granting agencies that Z-Arts has the support of its community. Each year we hope to do more to enrich and educate the canyon communities with the wonderful art all around us, and your support will help us to continue this quest. As a reminder, your entire membership and contributions are tax deductible and is good for one year.
Thank you so very much for considering this request. Scan the QR code below or join at Membership Plans which will take you to a secure page.
