The Grand Gala it would have not
been a great success without you.
President Message -  Jack Mercica
April 2018

Things are heating up for the June Primaries. Any help you can give our Campaign coordinator Jon Hart would be greatly appreciated as we work to "Make Califo rnia Red Again". Three basic ways to help are:
Phone Calls
Door Knocking
Donations
Host a Meet and Greet
Spread the word
Jon can be reached at 909 621- 2079. Also I want to thank all who help make our first ever Gala event a huge success. We have had so many compliments on it and I know there is a lot of gratitude to go around for all who supported it in any way.I am sharing an analysis by Dr. Charles Krauthammer on our President Donald Trump. As a psychiatrist he has a lot of value to offer. Let me preface this first by saying emphatically that we are the Mountain View Republican Club. We will always be a vibrant arm of the Republican Party. But what does it really mean to be a Republican. I believe Dr. Krauthammer sums it up best.
Trump Is Not A Liberal or Conservative, He's a "Pragmatist."

Can a Republican Win in California?
Mark Meuser on Prop 14

Mark Meuser is running for Secretary of State.

Thanks to Prop. 14, in 2016 there were 28 legislative seats plus the U.S. Senate seat that had only one Party on the ballot.  Since February, 2011, the start of Prop. 14, the GOP registration has gone done by 5% and Decline to State is only 250,000 behind the
GOP-they will overtake the GOP by November, 2018.  So, why would a candidate want to run as a Republican?
" California is worth fighting for.

Candidate for the 27th Congressional District

Beatrice Cardenas

Fluent in English, Spanish and French, Beatrice was born in Los Angeles and raised in the San Gabriel Valley by parents who are both Mexican immigrants in a very traditional and conservative home.  A graduate of Schurr High School, she attended Rio Hondo College for 2 years, completing her Associate Degree before entering the real estate financing business where she worked for 20 years.

In 2009 she became a Public Policy Assistant for the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership, where she not only worked on public policy but also local and state legislation, and the impact of federal legislation.  That experience became the genesis of her interest in the political process, which is fostered by her favorite hobby, reading, especially on the subjects of history and governance.  She is active in assisting the homeless through a Skid Row organization founded by her godfather.

Beatrice and her husband currently reside in Alhambra with their two sons and daughter.  They are guided by their faith in God and observing the laws of man.  She has a better grasp on the community and people who reside in the 27th Congressional District given she grew up there and lives there.

The Biggest Social Event in the Region!!
The Grand GALA Honoring
America's Armed Forces

That is what Ly Kou would tell everyone she met, it's going to be the Biggest Social Event in the Region! - you need to be there! Well, she was right. The Grand Gala was the Biggest Social Event in the Region and it was much more than that.  How does one capture in words the most incredible evening?  One hundred and seventy-eight men and women in awe and filled with an emotion they had not expected to experience.

The formality of the Honor Guard and the presentation of Colors, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the singing of the Star-Spangled Banner opened the evening.

BURTON BRINK

My parents came to Arcadia in 1967.  My mother was an architect and my father was in the refrigeration business. They built our house that I live in today.  They were looking for a quiet and safe community to raise their family - this has been home ever since. My parents instilled in me the idea that my goals were attainable through hard work, honesty, and serving others. It is for those reasons, I dedicated my life to protecting the public.
With violent crime up 5.2% across Los Angeles County and a noticeable increase in property crimes here in the San Gabriel Valley, it has never been more important that we elect leaders who know what it takes to keep our community safe - that's why the Professional Peace Officers Association representing over 8,700 law enforcement officers across Los Angeles County is supporting my campaign. Finally, I'll fight to enhance transparency, so you can, more easily, hold your state's government accountable and make it run more efficiently. Remember, when violent criminals are released early into your neighborhood, who are you going to call? A crime fighter or a politician?

The California Rifle & Pistol Association (CRPA)

Founded in 1875, is a nonprofit membership and donor supported organization with tens of thousands of members throughout California. We need you!
CRPA's membership is comprised of a diverse cross-section of the general public including believers in the right to choose to own a gun to defend yourself and your family, competitive and recreational shooters, hunters, conservationists, gun safety experts, youth, women, police, prosecutors and defense attorneys, judges, firearm history and technology experts, coaches and trainers, families, and loving parents.
CRPA works tirelessly and relentless to defend the civil and constitutional rights of individuals to choose to responsibly own and use firearms. Every dollar that CRPA receives from its members and donors stays and works in California to support your hunting and Second Amendment rights and the fight back against politicians, elitists, and bureaucrats who would deprive individuals of those rights.
Through its Sacramento and local legal and political advocates, CRPA works in the state capital, in regulatory agencies, and in city halls throughout California to promote laws that protect these rights, and to oppose laws that infringe on these rights.
Through its legal team, CRPA fights in the courts to challenge unconstitutional and illegal gun bans and ill-conceived gun control laws, and provides guidance to California gun owners regarding their legal rights and responsibilities.
CRPA works to preserve the traditional and historic role of the individual citizen to hunt and to conserve and preserve California's natural resources.
