Join Technical Program Chair Farzan Sasangohar at This Featured Session

The HFES International Annual Meeting Chair, Dr. Farzan Sasangohar, will be hosting a special Chair’s event at the 67th International Annual Meeting in Washington DC. 

Moderated by Dr. Divya Srinivasan, this will be a panel session to include presentations of HFE-friendly programs from across the National Science Foundation and followed by an opportunity for Q&A with the program directors. 

The panel will take place on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 10:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. in Jefferson West. Learn more about the Panelists below.

HFES Offers Ombuds Services at the Annual Meeting

HFES is pleased to announce that we will provide an Ombuds service at the 67th International Annual Meeting. This important role will be fulfilled by HFES member Sylvain Bruni of Aptima. The Ombuds is an independent, impartial, off-the-record, and confidential resource for meeting attendees to obtain information, seek guidance, and voice their concerns about misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and hostility. This service is intended to provide attendees with ways they can deal with concerns that they may experience or observe at HFES meetings.

Practitioners Survey Summary & Reception

The Practitioners Committee recently conducted a survey to learn more about this group of HFES members and their interest in different activities throughout the year. As of September 11th, 2023, 61 members submitted surveys, and a summary of the findings is posted below. The survey remains open at this link for additional submissions, thank you for your participation.

Please join us on Tuesday, October 24th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Washington Hilton Hotel in the International Terrace for a joint reception hosted by the Practitioners & Early Career Professionals Groups. Guests from local and federal government, private industry, and academia will serve as conversation starters and light refreshments will be provided.
