Please participate in the call for nominations for elected office! The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society encourages all Full and Emeritus members to participate in this year’s nominations and election process. 

HFES is seeking nominees to join our Executive Council and serve as President-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer-Elect, and Members-at-Large (two at-large positions are open). 

Please note that the call for nominations will close at 5:00 PM ET on Thursday, June 26, 2025. I strongly urge you to consider nominating someone or asking fellow members in your network to nominate you. Please consider being an active member and getting involved in this process - every nomination and vote counts.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for (audience)? Why should they care (benefit)? What do I want them to do (call-to-action)?

Create a great offer by adding words like "free," "personalized," "complimentary," or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take action, so consider inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"

Nominee Eligibility:

All Full Members and Fellows of the Society in good standing, including Emeritus Members and Emeritus Fellows, are eligible for nomination and election. Associate, Affiliate, Corresponding, Early-Career Professional, and Student Affiliate members may not nominate or vote. Read about nominee eligibility.

To Nominate Someone or to Self-Nominate:

Confirm with those you wish to nominate that they are willing to be nominated for the position and would serve if elected. Self-nomination is permitted. List your nominees for each office on the nomination ballot. Submit the online nomination ballot no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Time on Thursday, June 26, 2025. No ballots will be accepted after this point.

NEW: Nominators may fill out the ballot and click "Save and Resume Later". Nominators may only submit one nomination ballot. If you save for completion later, please note that HFES cannot send you your unique link as it is not visible to us. If you misplace your link you will have to start over.
