Perrigo Grant: Received

Thanks to the generosity of Perrigo, a worldwide healthcare company, our medical services can be extended to those we serve in Ottawa and Allegan counties. The Perrigo Grant Charitable Foundation Board awarded the clinic $10,000 in support for our  programs.

Michigan Department of Community Health Grant: Received
Holland Free Health Clinic received $6,410 from the Michigan Department of Community Health Free Clinic Funding Program this year. The program allocated the grant to 39 clinics serving the uninsured in Michigan and HFHC was included. Diabetic Education Support Group

Holland Free Health Clinic will be hosting a Diabetic Support Group the first Thursday of the month starting in September. This group aims to help individuals learn to stay healthy and happy with Diabetes Type 2.

The group will meet for nine sessions to discuss prescription coverage, diabetic friendly  recipes, dental and foot care, coping with diabetic conditions, and much more. Sessions begin on Thursday, September 6th from 6:30-8:00PM.

If you are interested in participating, or know someone that would benefit  from this group, please contact Val Petre at (616)-392-3610 ext. 204.
Counseling Support Group

Make sure to mark your calendar with the start of the  weekly counseling support group beginning Tuesday, September 18th from 3:00-4:30PM.

During the support group we will be discussing topics based on the book "Breathing Under Water" which align with the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Highlights of the text include coping with seemingly unmanageable and impossible life circumstances. In addition, this six-week program will help to alleviate daily challenges and help develop integrity and honesty of yourself and others.

Chemical Bank provides valuable support for Dental Program

Thanks to a generous donation from Chemical Bank, low-income, uninsured residents who lack access to health care will receive dental care.

Services begin with a comprehensive oral exam and cleaning from a dental hygienist. Patients in need of follow up care are scheduled with one of our volunteer dentists for restorations, extractions, oral surgery, dentures and periodontal exams.

Funding will help provide patients with necessary dental care for a health life style. With this donation, the demand for dentist to help create dentures is growing. Volunteer today!
