Church Office Closed Wednesday
With the church parking lot and many of our neighborhood roads still covered in ice, the church office will again be closed Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021. We will continue to watch the weather and keep you informed of our plans for the remainder of the week.
Join us for a Virtual Ash Wednesday Service
As we shared yesterday, we have also decided not to hold an in-person Ash Wednesday Service due to the weather conditions and the possibility for more winter weather Wednesday evening. However, we will be offering a virtual service tonight at 6:30 p.m., complete with a modified imposition of ashes. You can watch the service on our Facebook page or at hfumc.org/online. To participate in the imposition of ashes, you will need a small amount of dirt and some water. An indoor potted plant or a handful of dirt from the yard will work.
Walking with Jesus: New Sermon Series Starts this Sunday
For the season of Lent, we will have a sermon series that explores what it looks like to walk with Jesus in 2021. We'll revisit some of Jesus' most memorable moments with his disciples as they followed Him all the way from the shores of the Sea of Galilee into an empty tomb on Easter. All services will be in person and online, and childcare will be provided during the 10:45 service for children six weeks through five years of age.
