SUMMER 2022
Food Gardening Right Now:
Growing heat-tolerant greens

Malabar spinach, Swiss chard, leafy amaranth, and callaloo are among several heat-tolerant greens that can expand your palette of flavors from the summer vegetable garden.

Tomato disease prevention - early blight

This is a common fungal disease that also infects eggplant. Better air movement means less disease, so prune off the lowest 3-5 leaf branches of tomato plants.
