Dear Horizons at GSFS Community,
It is hard to believe but we are already beginning to prepare for this summer’s program by hiring our staff and enrolling our students! The job postings that we have listed can be found here for the lead teacher position and here for the associate teacher position. If you know anyone in the education industry who is interested in working with Horizons, please have them email Monica Quarrie at mquarrie@greenestreetfriends.org.
As we enter Black History Month, we are excited to partner with Greene Street Friends School for two events.
The first is a reading challenge. We are thrilled to share that our Horizons program has received another opportunity to raise important financial resources for this growing program that also allows our Greene Street Friends students to learn and support Horizons! Because all tuition for participation in the Horizons summer program is completely subsidized by the generous financial support of individuals and organizations, we work tirelessly to raise the necessary resources to host a successful program each summer.
We are grateful that an anonymous donor has again offered to donate $1 to the Horizons program hosted at Greene Street Friends School for each book read by a GSFS student during Black History Month (February 1 - February 28). This reading challenge is open to all GSFS students. If you would like to follow along, a list of suggested reading materials that center Black History Month can be found if you click here.
