The new degree focuses on the multi-dimensional needs manufacturing leaders will face in the coming decades. Students will gain a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems engineering as well as business management, data analytics, leadership and quality management.
Dr. Williams is Ohio State’s 22nd dean of the College of Engineering. As dean, he oversees the education of more than 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students and leads a research program that oversees the administration of 950 faculty, research scientists and staff. He represents Ohio State in Washington, D.C. on the Business-Higher Education Forum and the Council on Competitiveness; he also serves on the state of Ohio’s Third Frontier Advisory Board and the boards of Lightweight Innovations for Tomorrow, Columbus 2020, Metro Early College STEM School, The Ohio Aerospace & Aviation Council, and the Transportation Research Center.
