The Heritage Home Program SM is kicking off spring construction season with added marketing strategies, an updated spring mailing, and a brand new monthly newsletter to keep city staff in our participating communities informed and up to date!

Upcoming Events: Regional Information Sessions



To better inform residents about the services of the Heritage Home Program SM, we have scheduled regional information sessions across our service area. These will provide homeowners with the opportunity to meet our staff, view a presentation on what we do, and ask questions. Regional information sessions have begun!  Please feel free to attend a session near you to learn more about how the program benefits residents in your community.  All regional information sessions have been posted on our online calendar of events. Below are the regional meetings scheduled for March and April.

Service Spotlight

Sometimes our preservation approach to maintenance and repair leads us to the Cuyahoga County Archives in order to dig up an older photo that can provide clues as to what changes and alterations have been made to a home over the years.  Recently, we provided a homeowner with an image of her home that has inspired her to rebuild her front entry to be both historically accurate, and functional.  The entire project resulted from one site visit and a little historic research. This type of history hunting is an added benefit to residents that you won't find with any other housing program!


Marketing the Heritage Home Program to Residents

Each community that partners with the Heritage Home ProgramSM approaches marketing in a different way.  By sharing ideas and what area municipalities have done to promote the program to residents, we hope to provide you with some new ideas that might be a good fit for your community.

As spring approaches and construction resumes, many residents will visit their Building and Housing Departments. We would like you to consider having some HHP brochures available to share.  Better yet, we can come to your staff and educate them on how the program works so they can identify homeowners that would benefit from our services.  

Is your community going to be scheduling Building and Housing to do surveys for violations and condition assessments?  Feel free to include the brochure or a link to our website with the inspection notices.  Our low interest loan can combine multiple projects so homeowners can potentially resolve all of their violations at one time.
