Your member supports Homestead athletics. Your membership has allowed the Booster Club to fund various projects to help Highlander athletes including:

  • Contributing to turf the softball field
  • Awarding 4 Booster Club Scholarships (see below)
  • Contributing $1000 to each sport with 65% or greater Booster Club membership
  • Paying for rental fees for indoor sports practice facility
  • Helping fund uniforms for sports

If you have several children who will be attending Homestead High School consider the Lifetime Membership.

Girls Volleyball

Our Girls Volleyball team had a rough week. Wednesday we dropped a hard fought 5 set match 2-3 to Port Washington High School. Junior Gabby Magee led the Highlanders with 7 blocks and 14 kills in the loss. 

  • On Thursday the Highlanders faced a formidable opponent in Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. Our girls lost 3-0 , dropping the final set 27-25 in a very hard fought battle.  Gabby Magee led the team with 8 kills, Olivia Van Laanen and Emma Lusis each tallied 2 aces on the night and Nora Raasch has 12 digs. The lady Highlanders stand at an even 3-3 record for the season and will be facing Slinger High School this coming Thursday evening.

North Shore Conference Varsity Relay Meet – 9/24

The Homestead Girl’s Swim & Dive team took 2nd place behind Cedarburg at the NSC Varsity Relay Meet against Grafton, Whitefish Bay, Nicolet, Port Washington, West Bend West, Hartford and Cedarburg. There was one 1st place finish in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (Bella Magee, Michelle Martin, Gretchen Heintz and Mariah Reynolds). There were several 2nd place finishes: Lauren VanVooren in Diving, the 100 Yard Medley Relay (Taliah Lansing, Allie Paredes, Megan Gehl and Keya Dutta), the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (Rebecca Yang, Payton Rater, Helena Zhao, McKenna Donovon), the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay (Michelle Martin, Mariah Reynolds, Bella Magee and Ellie Thomas), and the 300 Yard Backstroke Relay (Gretchen Heintz, Taliah Lansing, Helena Zhao and Michelle Martin).
The 400 Yard Medley Relay (Gretchen Heintz, Alice Berezovski, Rebecca Yang and Ellie Thomas) took 4th. The 300 Yard Breastroke Relay (Mariah Reynolds, Alice Berezovski, Bridgette Thomas and Bella Magee) took 4th place. The 100 Yard Freestyle Relay (Ellie Capper, Ellie Thomas, McKenna Donovon and Katie Krol) took 4th place. The 300 Yard Butterfly Relay (Helena Zhao, Katie Krol, Ellie Capper and Megan Gehl) took 5th place. The 200 Yard Medley Relay (Bridgette Thomas, Allie Paredes, Katie Krol and Keya Dutta) took 5th. The 500 Yard Freestyle Relay (Payton Rater, Alice Berezovski, Megan Gehl and Rebecca Yang) took 6th place. 

Cedarburg Varsity Invite – 9/26

The Homestead Girl’s Swim & Dive team took 3rd place at the Cedarburg Bulldog Invite. They competed against Germantown, West Bend West/East, DSHA, Whitefish Bay, Grafton, Oak Creek, New Berlin and Cedarburg.

Whitefish Bay – 9/29

Tuesday night, the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams took on Whitefish Bay High School. The JV Team beat WFB 100 vs 65, and the Varsity team fell to the Blue Dukes in a close match 87 vs. 99. 
The JV team had several first place finishes including Audrey Ferrero in the 50 freestyle, Grace Bourbonais in the 100 butterfly, Payton Rater in the 100 breaststroke, the 200 medley relay (Elizabeth Rater, Audrey Ferrero, Grace Bourbonais and Payton Rater), the 200 free relay (Jozy Clark, Madeline Frank, Caroline Garsha and Payton Rater), and the 400 free relay (Audrey Ferrero, Grace Bourbonais, Jozy Clark and Elizabeth Rater). There were several 2nd place finishes including Sophia Zenefski in the 50 freestyle, Jozy Clark in the 100 freestyle, Payton Rater in the 500 freestyle, and Madeline Frank in the 100 breaststroke. Third place finishes included Caroline Garsha in the 200 freestyle, Elizabeth Rater in the 200 freestyle, Emma Rader in the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke, Audrey Ferrero in the 100 freestyle and Grace Bourbonais in the 500 freestyle.
The Varsity team won all 3 relays which included the 200 medley relay (Michelle Martin, Mariah Reynolds, Bella Magee and Gretchen Heintz), 200 free relay (Bella Magee, Gretchen Heintz, Maria Reynolds and Rebecca Yang) and the 400 free relay (Bella Magee, Michelle Martin, Gretchen Heintz and Ellie Thomas). The individual event winners included Bella Magee in the 200 IM, Michelle Martin in the 50 freestyle and Lauren VanVooren in diving. Second place finishers included Maggie Pokorny in diving, Gretchen Heintz in the 100 butterfly, Michelle Martin in the 100 free and Mariah Reynolds in the 500 free. Third place finishes included Megan Gehl in the 200 free, Ellie Thomas in the 50 free and 100 butterfly, Mia Wang in diving, and Rebecca Yang in the 500 free.

The Highlander girls match up against Grafton on Tuesday, October 6th with competition beginning at 6pm.  The Highlander Varsity Invite will take place on Saturday, October 10 at 10am.
