Homestead High School Booster Club
If you or someone you know is ready to make a significant positive impact on our athletic and club programs, plus work with some amazing people, we would like to talk to you! Whether you’re looking for some good volunteer experience or want to apply the skills you already have, this is a good one.
The Director Concessions is a volunteer Board position, which is critical to Homestead High School Booster Club’s ability to financially support sports team and clubs. While this is not a new position on the Board, the responsibilities are new.
Key Responsibilities
  • Improve overall revenue and profitability; and
  • Coordinate a small team of permanent and rotational support to manage concessions for fall, winter and spring sports.
The Board is looking for someone who can be the “CEO” of concessions. This is a strategic and management role and  NOT  a tactical one. In this role, you will by supported by the Board’s Executive Team (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) for opportunities to effectively and efficiently build upon our current high functioning Concessions program. Further, you can rely on your fellow Board members and other volunteers for support in carrying out day-to-day duties. You will have P&L responsibility, working closely with the Treasurer (the “CFO” of Boosters) and updating the Board in monthly meetings. Meetings are at Homestead and typically last one hour.
For more information, please call or text Paul Buzzell at 262.389.5221 . Paul can talk to you more about the role and provide a more detailed description.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Due to difficulty finding staffing for concessions, beginning with spring sports concessions will need to be staffed by the sport teams participating in the event. If you wish to have concessions available during your event please organize volunteer parents and athletes. JV can staff while Varsity competes and Varsity can staff while JV competes. If you cannot staff concessions during your event there will be no concession available for your event. Please contact Pam Enea ( jenea@wi.rr.com) with your event dates to arrange concessions for your event.

Team Competition:

The gymnastics team competed at the State Meet on Friday, March 6. For all but one of the girls, this was their first time at the state meet. It was a great experience for them to compete in a meet of this size, alongside the best teams in the state. At the end of the day, they scored 131.984 and came away having learned valuable lessons and with an increased motivation for next year. For seniors, Teah Marks, Taylor Raskin and Eileen Tylets this marked the last team competition of their gymnastics careers. Congratulations to the seniors on a job well done!
Individual Event Finals:

The individual competition took place on Saturday, March 7. Taylor Raskin had a busy day having qualified on every event plus the all around. She competed her best event, the uneven bars, in the first rotation and unfortunately made an uncharacteristic mistake which scored her lower than she had hoped (9.576). She ultimately placed 3rd missing first place by only .05 of a point.
She moved on to balance beam where she scored an impressive 9.5, floor where she scored a 9.133, and finally on to vault where she scored 9.267. Her all around score was a solid 37.467.

Overall Taylor had a very successful state meet placing her:
  • 3rd on uneven bars
  • 8th on beam
  • 6th on vault
  • 4th All Around!

Taylor was also selected to represent Team Wisconsin at Senior Nationals in Florida this May.

Congratulations to Taylor on a fantastic senior season! You crushed it this year!
