Christmas Joy
From Karen Winter, Head of School

I know there is nothing more important than our kids' spiritual academic and emotional development. As we celebrate this amazing year of blessing on our school, I thought you would enjoy reading some recent parent, student, and faculty comments about their experience at Hillcrest.

Comments from Parents:
"I have been to several Christian schools and never felt the holy spirit on campus, and on this campus, it just permeates from everyone."

"I tell my friends that my kids go to Hillcrest, and they are like, wow, really, that is such a great school."

"The reputation of the school has improved so much the past year."
My kids have not been happier."

The kids have received the highest academic education."

"This school is really Christ-centered, others may say it, but HCS really does practice it."

"We had two kids at another prestigious Christian school for years, and we love this environment so much better. Our child is so much happier and we are so glad we made this decision to have him at HCS."

"We are so thankful that the leadership of this school stood strong to stay open; we are so proud to go to HCS."

"This is truly our second home, and I love volunteering here every day."

“We transferred to HCS from another private school and our child loves it here. It is a blessing to here and to feel the love of Jesus.”

“My son graduated and is pre-med. While in college he realized that his education at HCS was far above what many of his peers received.”

“I love the biblical worldview. My graduate from HCS was at the top of her college classes.”
Comments from Faculty
These students are amazing! I don’t feel like this is a job. These kids are respectful and the family backing is so great!”

“These kids are so respectful. I have friends in other schools where the kids are so disrespectful. Our kids are so nice. The joy on their faces just because they get to be here is so wonderful.”

“My own kids are the happiest they have ever been. I was an advocate for public school but now I only fully support HCS. This environment is so wonderful and not at all like any other place I have ever worked. Everyone is so positive.”

“I love my new classroom and all the new curriculum.”

“Zoom was heartbreaking. I have heard kids say, ‘We hate Zoom.’ They absolutely love in-person teaching.”
Student comments:
“I love all of the new facilities and specialized departments. I look around and I see an area that needs to be upgraded, fixed, or repaired and then before I know it, it's all fixed. That never used to happen so it's so exciting to see the beautiful facility and the funds being allotted to the needs of the school.”

“At some schools, you can be a ghost but not here. It’s a cool experience and I love Student Government. I am learning great life skills.”

“Being here is refreshing for me. It is a family and everyone cares for me.”
Special thanks to the following Donors who gave towards our Legacy Annual Fund to raise $1,000,000 for school needs. Our prayer is that EVERY FAMILY will generously give a year-end gift on behalf of their child or grandchild.
