 CO-PRESENT AT NATIONAL CONFERENCE
HIP and Superintendent Carvalho (former superintendent of Miami-Dade and current superintendent of Los Angeles) co-presented at the School Superintendent Association’s National Conference on Education in Nashville. Superintendent Carvalho discussed how HIP schools already had the infrastructure and safety net in place for students well before the pandemic hit.

The panel discussed adolescent and teen health education, health care access and the impact of COVID-19. Chelsea spoke highly of the HIP model and encouraged participants to bring HIP to their cities!

HIP is incredibly grateful for its community partners! Ocean Reef Community Foundation has provided a grant to support HIP schools in Homestead and the Florida Keys. HIP also received a grant from The Children's Trust, which is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in
Miami-Dade County.
