CEO UPDATE

In a time of rapid change—where NGOs, government-funded aid organizations, and federal education and health services face uncertainty—HIP remains steady and strong.

Our mission hasn’t wavered. Our programs continue to thrive. And our expansion into new school districts and regions is moving full speed ahead.

This work is only possible because of the incredible support of our community. Whether you’re a donor, partner, educator, or advocate, your commitment ensures that students across the country have access to the health education they deserve.

Now, more than ever, we invite you to join us—whether by spreading the word, supporting our growth, or engaging with our mission. Together, we can empower even more students to lead, educate, and create healthier school communities.

Thank you for standing with us. Let’s keep building something extraordinary.

HIP ON THE MOVE!

Our team has been on the road, visiting our incredible partner high schools in NY, NJ, and Little Rock, Arkansas—and we couldn’t be more inspired!

Chief Program Officer Lindsay Peña visited with our NY Program Director Bethany Schaid to connect with our NJ and NJ schools. She was incredibly impressed by the energy and commitment of our new schools as they build their HIP programs in their inaugural year.

South Florida Program Director Andrew Tripodo visited our partner high schools in Little Rock, where he was blown away by the engagement and enthusiasm for the HIP program.

Chief Operating Officer Valerie Berrin and Andrew Tripodo presented to all of the high school principals in the Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) last month, sharing the tremendous impact that HIP is having on their students. This is HIP’s 5th year partnering with BCPS.

None of this would be possible without the incredible leaders, faculty sponsors, and students bringing HIP to life in their schools. Thank you for your dedication to making health education relevant, accessible, and student-driven.

We can’t wait to see these programs continue to grow!

CELEBRATING OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH HUMANA

At HIP, we’re incredibly fortunate to have community partners who believe in the power of prevention and peer education—and Humana is one of them.

We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Humana and their Healthy Horizons in Florida program, working together to ensure students have access to the health education they need to thrive.

Lina Benfield, Community Engagement Lead at Humana, shared:

"Our initiatives are aligned because of our investment in prevention-based health programs. Humana Healthy Horizons is proud to partner with HIP and support its contributions to health literacy."

Thank you, Humana, for your continued support and commitment to empowering the next generation with knowledge, resources, and healthier futures!
