Dear Global Christian Warriors,

David Wilkerson, in his 1998 book God's Plan to Protect His People in the Coming Depression shares a beautiful story of God's Presence in the midst of the Six Day War in Israel in 1967. Two sisters of Basilea Schlink's Lutheran Sisterhood of Mary were in a small house on the Mount of Olives when war seemed imminent. Soldiers nearby told them to leave for their safety. They prayed; and they chose to stay:

" The Lord gave them the same word He gave Gideon: 'Don't be afraid I will be with you. " So, under the Spirit's direction, they stored a small but adequate supply of food and water in the basement, and they moved downstairs to ride our the war. Within days, the Israeli army invaded from the left, and the Jordanians remained dug in on the right. Suddenly the sisters were caught in the middle of intense warfare, as bullets and shells began flying overhead and landing all around them. They huddled together in the basement of their house, spending hours in prayer.
"At one point the house itself was shelled. One shell dropped through the roof, causing the walls of the house to collapse. (The only wall left standing bore a plaque with a scripture promising God's protection.) Another shell landed in the house, but it didn't break through to the basement. Then another shell landed on a pile of carpets stored in a corner, causing no harm.
" What blessed me the most as the sisters told us this story was that throughout their ordeal, Jesus' presence became overwhelming to them. His Spirit filled the basement as they sat huddled in prayer----and soon all their fears vanished. In fact, the sisters said it was the most blessed experience of their lifetime.
" These women had food, water and shelter, and they were protected from their enemies. No bullet or bomb could touch them. Yet even this supernatural provision in the worst of circumstances paled in the light of the glorious presence of Christ Himself. The sisters testified to us, ' In all of our years in Israel, those were the most precious hours we've ever spent, because Jesus manifested Himself to us so clearly in that basement. We experienced His presence as we've never known it.'
" They ended up with a supernatural craving in their hearts for His presence, wanting more and more of Him. And now, as they think back to their hard times, they don't think about the provision God gave them. They think about the revelation of Christ they received from heaven.
" I believe that in the coming days of crisis, we're going to see manifestations of the presence of Jesus as no other generation has seen. The apostle Paul would be jealous if he could even get close to what we're going to witness. Yet the greatest need in Christ's church right now is for godly saints to seek a deeper craving for His presence---in their hearts, their homes, their churches. We won't have this craving for Him in hard times unless we pray for it now. It has to come to us in the secret closet---the 'craving place'--- because only God's Spirit can create such a hunger in us.
"Do you have a craving place? Do you have a trysting spot where you spend intimate times with your Lord? Do you have a room where you get alone with him and cry, ' Father, I want more than just a legal deal with you. I want your presence in my life!' Don't continue down the legal path. Go the way of love. That is what our Lord wants for us in the coming storm!"

Do you see the need for more of His Presence in your life? Spend time with the Holy Spirit and confess that need, and He will forgive you. You can then take the next step and sincerely repent, turning fully now to follow His Word and His Presence as you abide in Him daily.

Do you see repentance as vital for our times? To our knowledge National Day of Repentance is the only Christian ministry focusing solely on personal and national repentance in every nation, and applying His Gift of repentance through ongoing repentance exercises and resources to cleanse us, His Bride.

No church, no denomination supports us, only YOU! Though we work as volunteers, costs and requests for food pour in each day far beyond our capacity to fulfill these requests.

In Luke 8:3 we see three women who understood the mighty move of God in front of them and wished to provide "from their substance." The Lord Jesus tells us in John 14:12 that he who believes in Him will do greater works for the Kingdom because He is now with the Father. We believe this move of His Gift of Repentance, now bursting forth in Africa, is such a work.

Would you please pray for us? And then give from a cheerful heart as the Lord leads? THANK YOU!--whatever amount you give, we pray that you'll receive a blessing--- 2 Corinthians 8: 2-4 and Luke 8:3--- and Fruit that will abound to your spiritual account, Philippians 4:17.

God bless you.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
