Message from the CEO
Queensland Government leads health informatics workforce development: We are calling on Queensland Health employees to put their hands up and register for CHIA. Our largest CHIA cohort to date was announced last week with the department supporting the health informatics certification of up to 100 Queensland Health professionals. Certification will formally recognise the expertise and skills of health informatics, e-health and digital health professionals working in clinical settings, in health ICT or in information management roles across Queensland Health. If you are interested and believe you qualify, take action and be part of this exciting initiative! More information is available on our Queensland CHIA page. HISA is looking forward to connecting with interested health professionals on this and other topics at the eHealth Queensland Expo in Brisbane on 17 May. Meanwhile, the momentum is definitely building as we approach this year’s Health Informatics Conference (HIC 2017) which is in Brisbane 6-9 August. It’s a great year to be a CHIA.

Innovating Health
Translation of knowledge and innovation across health systems continues to be a challenge. The roundtable discussion was part of the Innovating Health thought leadership series presented collaboratively with Accenture.
