Webinar: Put knowledge into practice, says Friedman

HISA members heard Dr Charles Friedman from the US live on webinar this week with a talk on the concept of the Knowledge Grid. Dr Friedman, the Professor of Information and Public Health at the University of Michigan, described linking "data to knowledge" and "knowledge to practice". He said current biomedical knowledge had to be made computable. There needed to be an open, scalable biomedical knowledge ecosystem and a way to connect knowledge (best evidence) to practice, he said. To hear the full story visit the HISA webinar page and download the recording. HISA thanks our Board Vice Chair Karen Gibson who hosted the session.
Innovating Health: Blending health and human services

The fourth  Innovating Health roundtable was held in Canberra on 1 September on the topic Blending of Health and Human Services led by innovation economist Jason Potts, Professor School of Economics, RMIT. Proudly delivered in partnership with Accenture the Innovating Health Series pushes innovation to the fore and seeks to Create A New Conversation. See Series Highlights and download the full report from the roundtable HERE.
