Message from the CEO
At the close of our 25 th anniversary year, I’d like to warmly thank our members and stakeholders for their enthusiasm and support for HISA’s work this year.

Thanks to your expertise and guidance, HISA was able to contribute to the national strategy for digital health at national and state level; we developed white papers which triggered action in both nursing informatics and clinical informatics ; together with ACHI we launched the CXIO Network for clinical leaders in Australia; we formed the Digital Health Executives Network to enhance professional development more broadly; the Innovating Health thought leadership series brought together some of health’s most forward thinking executives; Communities of Practice are thriving and exploring new directions; and of course our well established CHIA program has now accredited 400+ digital health professionals and is growing steadily. In addition, we brought the community numerous opportunities for engagement and learning through our program of major conferences , branch events , breakfasts and webinars .
We have come a long way in 25 years and our national and international network has never been stronger. You can read more about our early days and the work of the founding members here .

Thank you for continuing to be part of the movement as we strive to build the world’s best health informatics and digital health-enabled workforce. I'd like to give my personal thanks to the wonderful team of people I work with every day, who give their all to HISA and our members and also to the fabulous team of volunteers who share their expertise and their time to advance digital health in Australia and abroad. #HISAriansRock!

Finally, HISA is proud to announce the first Honour Roll to recognise founders, leaders and the longest serving volunteers who have and continue to make our community strong. These outstanding contributors from all fields of healthcare, from clinical to ICT and government, have helped make Australia’s digital health community the successful movement it is today. You can view the list of names on the HISA website .

We look forward to working with you in 2019.
