eConsult Custom Form Now Available
For PS Suite EMR Users
For users of Telus PS Suite EMR, a eConsult Custom Form is available for primary care providers using eConsult on OTNHub!
Designed to help integrate sending and receiving eConsults into your clinic’s workflow, this custom form works particularly well when you are utilizing a delegate and minimizes the need for primary care providers to navigate away from the EMR. A delegate is a member of your team (medical admin, referral clerk) who can send and receive eConsults on behalf of a physician or nurse practitioner.
Contact the HITS eHealth Office at econsult@hitsehealth.ca to sign up for eConsult, register your delegate and/or receive the eConsult custom form file.

Ontario eServices Program:
eReferral to eConsult Initiative
The eReferral to eConsult Initiative (Ontario eServices Program), leverages Ocean eReferral to allow specialists to respond to eReferrals as an eConsult, providing direct and timely advice to primary care providers when an in-person visit may not be required.
The goal of this initiative is to understand how this functionality can support workflows, increase efficiencies, enhance patient care, and improve both provider and patient experiences. Building on the success of the eReferral to eConsult Proof-of-Concept, we are moving into Phase 2 of this initiative and we are expanding the number of specialists participating.
In particular, we are recruiting:
- Highly motivated specialists who are eager to participate
-
Specialists who are already actively using both eConsult and eReferral
-
Specialists who are already actively using either eConsult or eReferral
- Specialists who practice in the following specialties: Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Gastroenterology, Home Care, Mental Health and Addictions, Neurology, Orthopaedics – Back/Hip/Knee, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Palliative Care, Transgender, Women’s Health/Gynecologyand Urology.
