Children who will be age 4 on or before September 1, 2023 are eligible to attend four-year-old kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year.

Last week, on behalf of the District, Mr. Majerus and Community Coordinators - Mr. Navarre, Ms. Azoff, and Ms. Zupke - accepted a generous donation of essential clothing from the United Way of Washington County.

School Board Elections

The HJT1 Board of Education has two 3-year terms available in the 2023 spring election.

Candidates for the two open seats in the April 4 spring election are:

Survey-Community Engagement Committee Update

The next steps for the committee include upcoming meetings of a District survey data work group with volunteer District participants.


Resolution of Request to DPI

The School Board approved a Resolution of Request to Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to waive requirements regarding the commencement for the 2023-24 school term. If DPI approves the submitted waiver, the first day of school will be August 29, 2023.


District Calendar 2023-24

The School Board approved a 2023-24 District calendar with a start date of August 29, 2023 dependent upon DPI approval of the waiver.

  • The District calendar will be shared with families upon confirmation of approval.


Designation of Open Enrollment Spaces for 2023-24

The School Board approved open enrollment spaces for next school year. There is no limit on spaces in regular education and no spaces available in special education. Currently attending students will have guaranteed approval. The open enrollment application period is February 6 - April 28, 2023.

Summer Academy 2023

The School Board approved courses for Summer School, Jump Start and Middle School Connections. Check out the dates above in "District News" and stay tuned for details!


Sixth Grade Camp Contract 2023

The School Board approved a contract for sixth grade camp at YMCA Camp Minikani in the fall of 2023.


Photography Services

The School Board approved a contract with Lifetouch for photography services for the 2023-24 school year.
