Julio Lopez Solis, Senior Legal Assistant

Since joining Hoover Krepelka, LLP in 2021, Julio Lopez Solis has become an integral part of our firm's success. Beyond providing exceptional legal support, he has helped shape the way our team operates, collaborates, and presents itself to the community. Whether he's streamlining processes, introducing new technologies, mentoring colleagues, or stepping up whenever the firm needs support, Julio consistently goes above and beyond to make a meaningful impact.

Outside of his legal work, Julio's talents as a professional photographer have helped define our firm's visual identity. From team headshots to firm events, he has captured the people and moments that tell the story of who we are, helping present HK with professionalism and authenticity.

His dedication, leadership, and commitment to the firm's success have left a lasting mark on our team, making this promotion incredibly well deserved.

Jasmine Phim, Legal Assistant

Jasmine Phim joins HK with more than six years of experience in hospitality, where she developed a strong foundation in client service, communication, and creating positive experiences for those she serves. A proud San José State University alumna, Jasmine earned her Master of Business Administration while working full-time, demonstrating the dedication, discipline, and strong work ethic that continue to define her professional approach today.

In addition to earning her MBA, Jasmine was inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and served as President of Active Minds, reflecting her commitment to leadership, academic excellence, and community involvement. She is excited to begin her journey in the legal field and build a long-term career supporting clients and our team.

Outside of the office, Jasmine is a huge Marvel and Star Wars enthusiast who enjoys building LEGO sets, especially her growing botanical collection. She also loves baking and jokingly admits that she tends to "stress bake," giving her plenty of motivation to keep stress levels low.

We are excited to have Jasmine join the HK team and look forward to the contributions she will make as she grows with the firm.

Great evening at Strive Networking's Law & Business Networking event in Downtown San Jose!

While the event brought together professionals from the legal and business communities, it was also a fantastic opportunity to connect with people from a wide range of industries, including healthcare, real estate, entertainment, tech, and finance. It's always refreshing to engage with professionals outside of your day-to-day field and hear about the different paths, challenges, and ideas that drive their work.

Great catching up with Danae Myers and Steven Do from Berliner Cohen, LLP over lunch at Bloom in Downtown San Jose!

HK Summer Social at Straits Restaurant

Last Friday, the Hoover Krepelka, LLP team gathered at Straits in Santana Row for our annual HK Summer Social.

The evening gave us an opportunity to step away from our desks, enjoy great food and conversation, and celebrate the people who make our firm what it is. We were especially excited to recognize recent promotions, celebrate birthdays, and reflect on the milestones, relationships, and shared successes that continue to shape our firm.

Professional Networking Event at Strata

Head of Marketing, Vivian Tran, attended the Professional Networking Event at Strata Restaurant, hosted by Social Sphere.

At Hoover Krepelka, LLP, we believe that strong professional relationships are built on genuine connections. The event's "Networking Without the Name Tag" format was a refreshing way to step out and engage in authentic, organic conversations.

We love seeing our downtown district grow, and it was great to support a fantastic new local restaurant at the same time. Thank you to Social Sphere SJ for bringing together such an incredible group of professionals.

Mixer at Gurnick Academy

Had a great time at the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce July Networking Mixer hosted by Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts!

It was a wonderful evening filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and a strong sense of community. The event featured an incredible lineup of local businesses, with wine from Idle Times, mocktails from A Twist of Lime, appetizers from Cafe Rosalena, desserts from Anton SV Pâtisserie, and coffee from Grinchos Coffee. It was a great reminder of the many talented businesses that make the San Jose community so vibrant.

Step Into the Titanic Event

Hoover Krepelka, LLP was pleased to attend the official You.com Agentic Hackathon Gatsby-themed Step into the Titanic event at the historic Bank of Amador, where founders, entrepreneurs, engineers, creatives, and industry leaders gathered for an evening of meaningful conversation and connection. Events like these create opportunities to bring together professionals from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, build relationships, and strengthen the Bay Area’s innovation ecosystem.

Walk to End Alzheimer's by Alzheimer's Association

This month, we are proud to spotlight the Alzheimer's Association and its ongoing mission to advance research, provide care and support, and work toward a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.



For decades, the Alzheimer's Association has been a leading resource for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer's disease, offering education, advocacy, support services, and funding for groundbreaking research. Through community programs and local outreach, the organization continues to bring people together in the fight against this devastating disease.

One of its signature events, the Walk to End Alzheimer's, will take place on Saturday, October 10 in San Jose. As the world's largest fundraiser dedicated to Alzheimer's care, support, and research, the Walk unites families, caregivers, advocates, and local organizations in support of a shared vision: a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps fund critical research while providing essential resources for those affected by the disease.

Hoover Krepelka, LLP is honored to support the Alzheimer's Association through our sponsorship of the upcoming ALZ Brain Health & Silent Auction event. We also encourage our community to support the cause by registering for the Walk, joining a fundraising team, or making a donation.
