Hart Kienle Pentecost Recognized as One of Orange County’s Best Places to Work

We are proud to share that Hart Kienle Pentecost has been recognized as one of Orange County’s Best Places to Work by the Orange County Business Journal and Workplace Research Group.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it is based on feedback from our own team. It reflects the culture we have worked hard to build, one rooted in professionalism, collaboration, and mutual respect.

We are grateful to our attorneys, staff, and leadership for the role each person plays in making HKP a great place to come to work each day. Thank you for being part of our success.

Recent Litigation Victories

  • HKP Prevails in Undue Influence and Financial Elder Abuse Litigation: Our client brought petitions against her sibling in Riverside Superior Court seeking to invalidate a trust created just before their mother’s death on the grounds of undue influence and for damages against the sibling for financial elder abuse against their mother. After a five-day trial conducted by HKP shareholder and managing partner, Andrew Kienle, the court granted both petitions, thereby invalidating the contested trust, awarding double damages and legal fees totaling over $325,000 and guaranteeing HKP’s client and her other siblings their rightful share of their parent’s estate.

  • Favorable Settlement of Sexual Battery and Wrongful Termination Case: The employment team at Hart Kienle Pentecost is proud to announce another firm achievement of settling a serious sexual battery and wrongful termination case filed against HKP’s clients. In doing so, attorneys, Allyson K. Thompson and Lizbeth E. Lopez, mounted a defense that highlighted the significant factual deficiencies in Plaintiff’s assault claims and the credibility issues that would be exposed at trial. This victory confirms HKP’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional legal representation for all of its clients.

  • Strategic Litigation Tactics Lead to Advantageous Settlement for Employer Client: Attorneys Allyson K. Thompson and Lizbeth E. Lopez successfully secured a favorable settlement on behalf of a local real estate company, resolving two separately filed employment lawsuits under PAGA and FEHA respectively. After mediation failed, HKP’s employment attorneys continued to aggressively litigate both cases while keeping settlement discussions active. With key discovery pending, HKP strategically moved to consolidate the two actions in Los Angeles Superior Court following Plaintiff’s rejection to file a joint stipulation. The Court granted the consolidation resulting in a single fast-approaching trial date. Facing mounting pressure and limited time, the Plaintiff agreed to settle. By avoiding trial, our client saved significant time and legal expenses, and achieved a resolution aligned with their business goals.
