Dear Families,

Today, the NYC Mayor/NY Governor has announced that ALL Schools NYC public schools MUST temporarily close to prevent further spread.

Beginning Thursday, 11.19.2020, we will move forward with fully remote teaching and learning. We hope to be able to return to in-person learning soon. This will depend on the status of COVID-19 and the guidance we receive from the NYC Mayor and NYS Governor's offices. At this point, we do not know the duration of this closure. We will update you as soon as we have more information. Remote Academy will not be impacted by this change.

While I know this is disappointing news, please know that we have planned for this scenario. We will begin remote instruction for all grade levels on Thursday 11.19.2020.

Hybrid Cohort A and Cohort B
Beginning Thursday, 11.19.2020 we will move forward with fully remote teaching and learning. We will finish the current week according to the Cohort A/Cohort B Hybrid Schedule. Thursday and Friday, Cohort B students will receive instruction live via Zoom while Cohort A does asynchronous work as usual.

Next week, we will switch to our All Remote schedule. Cohort A Monday will attend on Monday and Cohort B will attend on Tuesday. After Thanksgiving Break, we will continue with our All Remote Schedule combining cohorts A & B.

Students are expected to attend class remotely as scheduled, to participate in synchronous instruction. In the event that your child is sick or unable to join class, please reach out to your child’s teacher for make-up work.

Please continue to access your child’s updated clickable schedule on Google Classroom, Seesaw, or using the clickable schedule links below.
