In September 2019, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology ( ONC ) released the  final report  from its Patient Matching, Aggregation, and Linking ( PMAL ) Project, as well as an  additional report  describing a pilot project to test the  Patient Demographic Data Quality Framework  (PDDQ) to Support Patient Matching that was released several years ago. Funded from June 2015 through September 2018 by the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) through the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) Trust Fund,  read our blog on two summary reports from this project.
On August 21 and 22, 2019 the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) held its third  Interoperability Forum  in Washington, DC. More than 600 individuals participated in person with many others viewing the general sessions via webinar. The conference began and ended with half-day plenary sessions while providing five tracks with smaller sessions in between. HLN attended the Health Information Exchange (HIE)/Community-based Information Exchange (CIE) breakout session on both days and summarized its observations about the meeting in a blog post .

Update to ICE Open Source Immunization Forecasting Software
A new release of the Immunization Calculation Engine ( ICE ) was issued over the past few months and the latest version (v 1.20.1 ) is now available. ICE is a state-of-the-art open-source software system that provides clinical decision support (CDS) for immunizations for use in Immunization Information Systems (IIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Personal Health Record (PHR) Systems. This release included important updates to the  DTP Vaccine Group .
HLN Conference Update
HLN attended the  American Immunization Registry Association National Meeting  on August 13-15, 2019 in Indianapolis, IN. Over 400 individuals from a wide variety of organizations attended, visited our booth (as a Gold Sponsor), and attend one of the many presentations delivered. This year AIRA celebrating its twentieth anniversary and HLN is proud to be among its founding members.
2019 Annual Patient-centered Clinical Decision Support Meeting: HLN is proud to once again be a bronze sponsor of the PCCDS Learning Network annual meeting in Washington, DC on October 21. HLN will participate in the Codeathon that will take place at the event, demonstrating our use of CDS Hooks to allow EHR systems to invoke our ICE open source immunization evaluation and forecasting system.
2019 Association of Immunization Managers Leadership Conference: HLN is proud to once again be a bronze sponsor of the AIM annual Leadership Conference in New Orleans beginning on December 10. This year marks the twentieth anniversary of AIM and HLN will be participating in the celebration.
