Samaritans, Inc. has launched “Hey Sam," a dedicated peer-to-peer texting service for people up to 24 years old. This program is designed for young people and staffed by young people. Volunteers ages 15-24 will be responding to the messages that come in through this line, available from 9am-9pm every day. Text us at 1-877-832-0890 and check us out Hey Sam
“Hey Sam" is an extension of our current services to promote youth mental health. As always, our existing helpline is still available 24x7x365 to anyone of any age. Please feel free to forward this email and attached graphic to any youth networks.
The Samaritans are seeking people aged 15-24 who want to help us answer "Hey Sam" texts. If you are interested in volunteering or learning more, fill out a volunteer inquiry form here.

8th grade Vision and Hearing Screenings: 8th grade vision and hearing screenings will start Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Screenings will be conducted unless notification is received. Twenty-five eighth graders participated in training through the Shamrock Foundation’s Playbook Initiative over the past two weeks. The Playbook Initiative was created through a partnership between the Boston Celtics and Project 351, and it reflects a shared set of values and a common vision for strong, just, and inclusive communities.
With the mission of leading to positive social change, this training focused on leadership and community building and was led by our Project 351
Ambassador from the Class of 2022, Dalice Rodrigues Viera.
