HMIS New User Training s designed for users who are new to the agency or new to the role of entering data in HMIS. Topics covered include Privacy & Ethics, Data Security, Data Quality, HMIS Privacy Policy, the Help Desk tool, as well as HMIS data requirements. This training is somewhat self-paced but must be completed by 4:00pm. Security Officers and Data Quality Officers should ensure any person attending training is able to complete the session.

Refresher Training is available after attending an initial New User Training, if a refresher is needed or if a user has loss access to the system due to inactivity of 60 days or more. Time is spent in the areas of reviewing the stages of data collection intake, update, annual and exit. Review of the system functions, client dashboards, workspaces, workflows and action items for an enrollment will also be discussed.
