January News

Dear HMS Families,
On behalf of Harding Middle School students and staff, we would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. First, I would like to thank everyone that contributed to our most recent toy drive.  The annual Steubenville City Schools Stuff a Bus campaign was a huge success and will benefit local students this Christmas. Also, I'd like to remind families that the Steubenville Lions Club is holding a fundraiser.  You can support the club by eating in or ordering takeout from the Texas Roadhouse on January 11, 2021.  The Lions Club will receive 10% back from all sales. Please have either an electronic or hard copy of the flyer with you at the time of purchase.
During the month of December, we got into the holiday spirit with a door wreath decoration competition. All participants had fun and enjoyed a candycane for their efforts. Also, Ms. Baker and her talented orchestra provided us with a remote concert. Both of these activities are avalible for viewing in this newsletter. The last day of the semester was a movie day in our pajamas. All Steubenville City Schools will observe winter break on December 21 - January 1, and classes will resume Monday, January 4. Harding Middle School would like to wish everyone a happy holidasy.
If I can ever be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact me. My e-mail address is  or you can reach me by phone at Harding Middle School, (740) 282-3481.

HMS Winter Sports
Remain vigilant with hand washing often, mask-wearing that covers both the nose and mouth, remaining 6ft apart when standing in lines, avoid crowds, stay home if you do not feel well, and in general..... DO YOUR PART!!

  • Remember safe hand washing means 20 seconds of soap time at the sink.

  • Do not touch your face unless you know your hands are clean.

  • Eat healthily or take a multivitamin to keep your immune system strong.

The old saying still rings true..."An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
